When your only infrastructure is the river, you use it.

...the most effective way of reducing the amount of plastic in the world's oceans is by addressing the sources of pollution along such waterways as these.

Maybe Thanos was on to something...

We are all subject to the enviros religion.

It’s their religion. These bans are a penance they believe in and force on everyone.

It’s the plastic straws that are apparently to blame for everthing. Well that and PDJT.

One day, someone will seriously promote the idea of sending a few tons of this plastic waste into Outer Space. Maybe into the Stratosphere, far out enough not to interfere with any satellites. After people stop laughing at the idea, it may be a solution, albeit not a popular one.

This present pace of plastic waste cannot continue without waterways being affected. I’m not too big on the ecology or matters of man-caused pollution, but this is a growing problem. Even China has begun to accept less of the world’s rubbish.

I dared and wish I hadn’t.

I didn’t want lunch anyway.

Or dinner.
