SUCCESS!...................
I confess that I have had a lot of trouble following the Syrian affairs.
I think Assad is bad, but probably the least bad of anyone over there.
I couldn’t tell what side Obama was on, but I’m pretty sure it was the terrorists.
I couldn’t tell what side Trump was on, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the terrorists.
I have no idea if Trump is happy with the current outcome.
I have no idea if Putin is happy with the current outcome.
If we had actual journalism in the US, I’d probably have a better understanding of this matter.
What a waste of life has been the Clinton/Obama Arab Spring
Assad protects minorities. McCain’s head-choppers slaughter those who resist Wahhabi Islam. Enough said.
Which is why Obama, Clinton, and Kerry said he had to go.
We should have been backing him all along
I’m good with this. I think the main problem is that Israel prefers chaos in Syria as a strong, unified Syria would be seen as a threat to them. And I say this as someone who is generally supportive of Israel.
What did Hitler say? “In a thousand years you won’t recognize Germany” or something like that.
Assad gets pressure from Eastern Orthodox organizations under Putin. If Assad wants continued Russian support, he must adhere to a secular system of govt even though Iran wants a Caliphate established across the Middle East.
Proving once again that the only form of government that works in the Arab Muslim world is, for all its faults, secular dictatorship.
Since Obama isn’t there to jerk the rug out anymore, there might just come a modicum of stability in the region.
Wonderful article. I am glad that Syria/Russia//Iran slaughtered those isis Sunni , Saudi sponsored wahhabis. Great job. We need to get our 2000 Trioops in Syria the hell out since we werent invited and stop air strikes on the sovereign government there that has done nothing detrimental to this nation.
Sadly, he’s much better than Obama, McCain and the Saudi’s jihadi friends
I’m not buying what those who frame the news are selling. Anyone I’ve talked to from Libya, Syria, Egypt, even Iraq will say that they were making progress under the leaders the US and our partners in crime regime-changed or attempted to regime change.
Assas is the best choice in that area...

Christian quarter is reviving. Churches have been lavishly restored; a large crucifix hangs over the main street. Groom of Heaven, proclaims a billboard featuring a photo of a Christian soldier killed in the seven-year conflict. In their sermons, Orthodox patriarchs praise Mr Assad for saving one of the worlds oldest Christian communities.
Assad narrowly avoided getting the Kadaffy treatment. In that part of the world, brute force is necessary to keep the neck cutters from creating chaos.
This is true, just noticed your post and couldn’t have said it better. What terrorist and ISIS-loving Obama, crooked Hillary and neocon McCain could never understand is that Assad may be an SOB but he’s the only one in power protecting the Christians and other minorities from ISIS and the other extremists in Syria who also attack the West. Hillary wanted to bomb Assad and the Russians and basically hand over Syria to ISIS, but Trump frustrated their plans with his victory. and even though the neocon traitors still lingering in the swamp tried to dupe Trump into heavily bombing Syria in April, he was still smart enough to hold back from any major operation. Europe’s also been wising up on the “refugee” fraud, I was there last year. Even though Europe’s equivalent of Democrats and RINO’s, aka. Angela Merkel, tried to flood Europe with a hostile culture, ultimately the people stood up and elected populists all throughout the continent, including in Germany. Merkel is now in constant crisis and on her last legs, opposed by her own people and government, and the Syrians and other Muslims are either being kicked out or even more common, just self deporting when they realize the societies they’re trying to mooch off wont accomodate them anymore and they’re not welcome.
