Scandals Sanitized With Linguistic Trickery

Throughout Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz's massive report on the Hillary Clinton email investigation are lots of strange things. One of the weirdest is the extent to which the FBI went to make up words and phrases to disguise reality. n early draft of the 2016 FBI report on the email scandal was reportedly subjected to linguistic surgery to exonerate the former secretary of state, who at the time was the Democratic nominee for president. Clinton was originally found to be "grossly negligent" in using an illegal email server. That legalistic phrase is used by prosecutors to indict for violation of laws governing the wrongful transmission of confidential government documents.

Yet the very thought of a likely President Clinton in court so worried the chief investigator, FBI Director James Comey, that he watered down "grossly negligent" to the mere "extremely careless."

FBI investigators also had concluded that it was "reasonably likely" foreign nations had read Clinton's unsecured emails. Comey intervened to mask such a likelihood by substituting the more neutral word "possible."

Former President Barack Obama was found to have improperly communicated with Clinton over her illegal server while she was in a foreign country. Obama had denied that fact by falsely claiming that he never knew of her server until much later, after it was publicized.

The FBI hierarchy under Comey tried to hide the embarrassing details of Obama's conduct. As a result, the FBI deleted Obama's name from its report. In its place, the FBI inserted the laughable "another senior government official" -- as if the president of the United States was just another Washington grandee who had improperly communicated on an illicit email server.

15 minutes of Abc news tonight. 10 minutes on the border including several minutes on a “don’t care” jacket. Then flooding from rains. Then a couple being prosecuted for child abuse, and promo for an interview with a dancing medic. Nothing about apolgizing for a fake verdict on Manafort on ABC or congressional testimony.

Phony outrage, phone scandals, smoke and mirrors and squirrels

If mere mortals are grossly negligent they go to jail.

Progressive linguistic "trickery"?

Want some plain talk from America's Founding Generation?

Let's remember a great American who held great disdain for "pension'd judges" and those who would "suffer their Constitution to be 'overturned and ruined." That man's name was Samuel Adams--a name that is often heard on today's TV and, thus, should be easy to remember. Hear his words:

"Is Life, Property and every Thing dear and sacred, to be now submitted to the Decisions of PENSION'D JUDGES, holding their places during the pleasure of such a Governor, and a Council perhaps overawed! To what a State of Infamy, Wretchedness and Misery shall we be reduc'd if our Judges shall be prevail'd upon to be thus degraded to Hirelings, and the Body of the People shall suffer their free Constitution to be overturn'd and ruin'd. Merciful GOD! Inspire Thy People with Wisdom and Fortitude, and direct them to gracious Ends. In this extreme Distress, when the Plan of Slavery seems nearly compleated, 0 save our Country from impending Ruin - Let not the iron Hand of Tyranny ravish our Laws and seize the Badge of Freedom, nor avow'd Corruption and the murderous Rage of lawless Power be ever seen on the sacred Seat of Justice!

Is it not High Time for the People of this Country explicitly to declare, whether they will be Freemen or Slaves? It is an important Question which ought to be decided. It concerns us more than any Thing in this Life. The Salvation of our Souls is interested in the Event: For wherever Tyranny is establish'd, Immorality of every Kind comes in like a Torrent. It is in the Interest of Tyrants to reduce the People to Ignorance and Vice. For they cannot live in any Country where Virtue and Knowledge prevail.

The Religion and public Liberty of a People are intimately connected; their Interests are interwoven, they cannot subsist separately; and therefore they rise and fall together. For this Reason, it is always observable, that those who are combin'd to destroy the People's Liberties, practice every Art to poison their Morals. How greatly then does it concern us, at all Events, to put a Stop to the Progress of Tyranny. It is advanced already by far too many Strides. We are at this moment upon a precipice. The next step may be fatal to us.

Let us then act like wise Men; calmly took around us and consider what is best to be done. Let us converse together upon this most interesting Subject and open our minds freely to each other. Let it be the topic of conversation in every social Club. Let every Town assemble. Let Associations & Combinations be everywhere set up to consult and recover our just Rights." - Samuel Adams

"those who are combin'd to destroy the People's Liberties, practice every Art to poison their Morals"

Pretty much sums it up right there

It should always be remembered that she did all this for a reason. The flak she received for the illegal server and for the destruction of thousands of emails is nothing compared to the trouble she would have had if the emails had been available to investigators. Clearly she intended from the moment she accepted the offer to become Secretary of State to use the office as a way to shake down foreign governments for money for the Clinton Foundation—for wealth to benefit herself, her family, and her cronies. That a small percentage had to be given to charity to maintain the fiction that it was a charitable foundation was just overhead.

Those actions are criminal. comey and half the fbi staff need to be in prison, where the prisoners will see to it that a fitting punishment is given.
