The FBI and DOJ don’t really care what the congress says because there are rarely, if ever, any real consequences. Maybe a little bad publicity. But the leadership is still there. Their powers are still intact. Their budgets will keep getting bigger. Nothing changes.

Until congress and/or the president impose their will on these agencies and enforce accountability nothing will change. The agencies can survive a salvo of words.
