The biggest problem the DOJ leadership had with Comey when they recommended his firing was the fiasco surrounding his decision to take on the role of a Federal prosecutor and make the decision about whether or not to indict Clinton. Go back and read the documents prepared by Sessions and Rosenstein in May 2017 to see that.

You NEVER pick a Senator if you want bold, strong leadership. They are one of a hundred and can find a hiding place for every vote that goes wrong. This was a terrible mistake by Trump. The reason Trump is so successful is that he was a true CEO with accountability for performance. He didn’t have 99 others to hide behind.

The pro-Sessions people say that he will act forcefully on this report and fire people. The anti-Sessions people say that he will do nothing that would substantially help Trump or hurt the deep state, I side with the anti-Sessions people, but, one way or the other, his reaction should tell us where he stands. Let’s see whose right.
I suspect that Sessions will interpret the report in a manner most favorable to the deep state and do virtually nothing.
Sessions was AG of Alabama and a prosecutor prior to becoming a Senator.

That's exactly what it sounds like and there's nothing in sight that says otherwise. Extremely disturbing and basically confirms that the Conservative Treehouse--as great as they are on many issues--has been wrong about Sessions, and all of us here on FR have been right about Mr. Sleepy Head. Well, Sleepy is the wrong word here. This is straight up treason on Session's part to whitewash and defend the FBI. These people are getting away with perjury and serious crimes and this schmuck is saying, "yeah, maybe we might have to fire someone lol." What a scumbag!

It’s looking more and more like this POS leprechaun insinuated himself into the Trump campaign on behalf of the crooks in the repuki party and the deepstate as a means to sabotage it.
Yep, people are always over estimating the value of these congress critters. Sessions was nice to have, but he was hardly saving the day for Trump. It’s like Steve Bannon sitting there claiming that HE won the election for a hopeless Donald Trump by simply being employed for a short period of time.
Sessions is full of BS. Until he SWATs Comey, Muller, Rosenstein, McCabe, Schumer, Schiff, Hillary, Lynch, all involved in Fast and Furious, All involved in Iran deal. All that ammo ordered under 0bama may be needed. Sessions should be added too if he takes no action.
