Philadelphias mayor called President Trump a fragile egomaniac, and accused him of not being a true patriot. Mayor Jim Kenney released the following statement in response to Trumps decision:
The Eagles call the birthplace of our democracy home, so its no surprise that this team embodies everything that makes our country and our city great. Their athletic accomplishments on the field led to an historic victory this year. Fans all across the country rallied behind them because we like to root for the underdog and we feel joy when we see the underdogs finally win. Im equally proud of the Eagles activism off the field. These are players who stand up for the causes they believe in and who contribute in meaningful ways to their community. They represent the diversity of our nationa nation in which we are free to express our opinions.
Disinviting them from the White House only proves that our President is not a true patriot, but a fragile egomaniac obsessed with crowd size and afraid of the embarrassment of throwing a party to which no one wants to attend.
City Hall is always open for a celebration.
While some have pointed out that no Eagles players actually knelt for the anthem this year, that fact obscures larger issues. According to NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo, the Eagles were going to send a contingent of less than ten players to the White House:

Look in the mirror ahole.
Well screw him too then.

Kermit Gosnell called Philadelphia home too and the board of health and city officials looked the other way while he ran his “legal-safe-rare” abortuary.

So it is wrong to disinvite the Eagles when they say they aren’t gonna go anyway. What a dupe.
Why should the President and his people have to put up with a bunch of BS from a group of millionaire NFL thugs? I’m glad the President Trump called this fiasco off. No need for him and his people at the White House to be embarrassed by these millionaire thugs with some smart ass remarks they may make.
If Trump is not a patriot for disinviting the players, then what are the players who were not going?
>>According to NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo, the Eagles were going to send a contingent of less than ten players to the White House:
Trump needs to have a special visit set up for the 10 players
Wanting to visit.
Like a grand luncheon just for them.

The majority were taking the knee on this event and da-mayor is taking the piss.
Here’s hoping that DJT breaks the grip of Sportsball on adult, white American males.

Taking the piss is a Commonwealth term meaning to take liberties at the expense of others, or to be joking, or to be unreasonable. It is a shortening of the idiom taking the piss out of, which is an expression meaning to mock, tease, joke, ridicule, or scoff.
Trump is out to destroy political correctness. He ran on a campaign of MAGA, and continues to act on what is more than a slogan. Why would he want to dignify those who disrespect this country in front of the whole nation? GREAT decision on Trumps part. The people who count real Americans respect Trump for this decision. He again exposes traitors.
Philadelphia is not America.
What people don’t/won’t accept is that Trump isn’t doing any of this for personal reasons.
Unlike his predecessor (who pandered to any and all groups & ideologies that were antithetical to the principles this country was founded on), Trump is using his bully pulpit to restore the ideals that made America great, again.
Yeah right, him and the pre-pubescent acting adults that throw and run a ball around a field for and hour or two on a Sunday afternoon. So childish and ignorant to diminish the adulation the get from people for absolutely nothing.
They’re idiots (players and ownwers+NFL officials), and deserve to be treated as such.
Right on Mr. President!!!
Jim Kenney is a far cry from Frank Rizzo, Philadelphia’s courageous and solidly patriotic mayor back in the 1970’s.
They have the nerve to claim that because Philadelphia is their home, that makes them patriotic? Not
Just like being in Philadelphia sure doesn’t convert this hack mayor into Benjamin Franklin.
“Why should the President and his people have to put up with a bunch of BS from a group of millionaire NFL thugs?”.....
Exactly! They provide absolutely NOTHING to our gross national product. They themselves, provide only “entertainment”, if you can call it that.
It's not a 'democracy', it's a 'republic'.
