One of the reasons that it’s REALLY HARD for me to forgive the NeverTrumpers is because they nearly enabled the victory of a woman who planned to do this and much more, if she made it into the White House. And much of that would have been through EXECUTIVE ORDERS, using EXISTING POWERS in a twisted way, but backed up by HER JUDGES. And if the Republicans didn’t like her rule-by-decree, all they would need to do is pass laws that SPECIFICALLY negate those powers, just to have her veto them and sustain the veto.
That process:
1. Rule by decree
2. Leftist judges then say they’re not involved - it’s between the other two branches.
3. Therefore, if Congress doesn’t like the decree, they’re welcome to pass a law to nullify it.
4. Of course either the president has to sign it (obviously won’t happen) or dozens of Democrats have to join Republicans to get to 2/3’s to override the veto - also not going to happen.
5. Decree is sustained.
Steps 1 & 2, above, already happened with Obama in one case. I can’t remember the issue, maybe something to do with immigration. Republicans didn’t bother trying to pass legislation, since an override was hopeless.
I get it - Trump is an oaf, a goofball, not classy, not presidential at all.
...but did that make him worse than the alternative, really?
"...oaf, goofball, not classy, not Presidential ..."
“I get it - Trump is an oaf, a goofball, not classy, not presidential at all.”
Stop apologizing for supporting Trump. I love the guy, and am convinced he’s consistently the smartest person in any given room.
I used to tell people I liked Trump’s policies, but wouldn’t want to have a beer with him. Now, given the chance, I’d jump at the chance.
Agree 100%!
Dear Lord,
Please continue to protect, care for and give wisdom to President Trump, his family and his advisers.
Amen.
