WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Questions about President Donald Trump and the investigation into whether his 2016 election campaign colluded with Russia overshadowed a Senate hearing on Wednesday with U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who has been a frequent target of Trump’s wrath.
Sessions was the sole witness at the hearing on the Justice Department’s proposed 2019 budget, where Democrats repeatedly drew the spotlight to the Russia probe.
In ways that could keep Trump’s fury in check, Sessions delicately navigated questions on recusals, pardons and even the possible firing of high-ranking officials.
Sessions would not say if he had recused himself, or would, from an ongoing criminal investigation into Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen or if he would consider resigning in protest should Trump decide to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller or Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who oversees the Russia probe.

The Dems reactions would be so swift that you’d find piles of crap a foot high on their Committee seats.
If the Democrats in Congress, present and past, were ever investigated and questioned by and before a serious Special Congressional Investigations Committee/Subcommittee, just the FBI and CIA records would destroy the Democrat Party going all the way back to the 1940’s.
As I have written before, Congress was loaded with Soviet agents, sympathizers and dupes from the mid-1930’s onward including till today (the last great Soviet supporter being the recently forcibly retired John Conyers, Jr., (D-Mich), but that leaves Bernie Sanders, most of the Progressive Caucus, the Black Congressional Caucus, a few in the Hispanic Caucus (more Chavezistas/Castroites/Ortega supporters), and a couple of Red Chinese agents/supporters.
Other threats include the two Black Muslim MoC Ellison and Carson. I would say their loyalty lies in Tehran, not DC.
However, nobody in Congress seems to have the guts and balls to propose such a hearing or to even hold an Ad Hoc Hearing outside of Congress ( as a few did back in the 70’s), while the Democrats held fake “Congressional Conference on Cuba” (and other issues), with Ted Kennedy being one of their main sponsors. Wonder why?
In fact, you could hold a day-long hearing just on the traitorous actions of Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass) from VN to Nicaragua, Cuba, El Salvador, the Soviet Union, and Iran.
The only thing the Democrats and some cowardly Republicans are afraid of from such hearings would be “THE TRUTH”.

Most voters think it is important to continue investigating whether the Trump campaign coordinated with Russia — but more believe President Trump will fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller before he’s done.
About two-thirds, 67 percent in the latest Fox News poll, say it is at least somewhat important the investigation continues, and 56 percent think it’s likely that Mueller’s probe will find Donald Trump committed criminal or impeachable offenses.
And even though a majority feels confident Mueller is treating the White House fairly (64 percent), an even larger number thinks it’s likely President Trump will fire Mueller before the investigation is complete (71 percent)...
Trump’s favorable rating comes in at 43 percent, a bit higher than Mueller’s 39 percent favorable. However, far more have an unfavorable rating of Trump (55 percent) than Mueller (33 percent)...
The Fox News poll is based on landline and cellphone interviews with 1,014 randomly chosen registered voters nationwide and was conducted under the joint direction of Anderson Robbins Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research (R) from April 22-24, 2018.
