If you have a low level repetitive desk job it doesn’t make much difference. Back in the 70s I had one such job. Never drove to work high, but the workforce was made up of about 75% twenty somethings and we’d manage to sneak out on a break and smoke a joint maybe one day a week. The stuff wasn’t as strong as now and by the time 4:30pm rolled around I’d be back to normal. Someone always had some Visine, and the boss was none the wiser.
And if you’d have come back from lunch toasted on alcohol you would have been fired
