My dear husband fought in Korea as a Marine. He passed last July. I wish he could have lived to see this.

I grew up just outside West Point. My Uncle was an instructor there in the Mathematics department. He was pretty good friends with Art Bonifas. I was 5 when the attack occurred, but I remember the somberness of my Uncle’s house on post and the sadness when his funeral occurred. Maj. Bonifas was only a week away from ending his tour in the ROK.
