Data at the polar cap shows that natural warming results in increase in CO2 previously trapped in ice. It is not CO2 that causes warming but the warming that causes CO2 release.
The data was obtained by the commi scientists doing ice carroting at Vostok during the Soviet Union. Is is where I believe they saw the data and decided to flip the interpretation on purpose.
