People apparently signed up for Chrome’s antivirus function. Why are they surprised it’s looking for virii?

The article is talking about an extension to the browser that is an antivirus program.

I don’t get why people are upset over an AV scanner. Its supposed to scan files!

If you don’t like that, don’t get online! The Internet is crawling with nasties.
