They are trying to throw out a little bone today to GOP voters. They were forced to come out into the open to back Mueller, in support of their RAT allies, after the fiasco of Mueller raiding Trump's lawyer's home and office.

Mueller knows he has RINO rats support for everything, so he is going full speed regardless of legality.

The glacial, geriatric Senate is completely disfunctional. And almost impossible to change. Gotta get rid of the turtle! What happened to the book detailing McConnell’s family getting rich from the Chinese? He needs to be hammered on that, to start.

Oh, just another “Principled Conservative”, scared to death that we might win one and remove another point for him to bellyache about.

Why do they even need 8 hours of debate? It only takes a few minutes to vote.

Think about this:

As PDJT gets his trade deal on the Chicoms....there will be a big down-tick on trade from China ...and a small up-tick on trade from USA to China.

Net result less freight carries plying across the Pacific

And a big hurt to the Turtle-Voss family Chinese based shipping company.

Here they all are with one of their freighters

If they want 30 hours to interview a nominee, then fine. Put ALL the currently pending nominees in offices in the capital. Lawmakers who want to drop in and chat with them, may do so. At the end of the week, hold a rapid series of votes on each. Done.

reinstate a temporary rules change made by Democrats in 2013 that reduced debate time from 30 hours to eight hours for most executive branch nominations and from 30 hours to two hours for lower judicial branch nominations.

How long did this “temporary” change last? Probably until Republicans retook the Senate. It should have been reinstated as soon as PDJT was inaugurated.
