Now we find out from DHS Nielsen that the troops on the border won’t be armed. That was a lot of bluster from Trump that amounted to nothing. Deploying the military to the border what a bunch of crap? Just round up people off the street and pay them to stand around. I guess they think that people in camo will scare them away.

Hasn’t that been SOP over the past few years where some troops
have been on the border to assist the Border Patrol. They do
more mundane things like paper shuffling, housing duties, etc
which frees BP agents to do more actual field work which is
their speciality.
