The Hill just put out an article that is titled, “White House confident Trump will sign bill despite veto threat.”
White House officials are confident President Trump will sign the $1.3 trillion omnibus approved by Congress despite his surprise threat via Twitter to veto the bill.
“I think we’ll be OK,” White House Director of Legislative Affairs Marc Short told CNN.
Another official said the White House believes that Trump will ultimately sign the legislation.
So the White House is represented by the hired help and not Trump.....the Hill is so pathetic.

2. Trump flips to the left side of the issue
3. the right gets pissed
4. Trump flips back to the right, base is happy
He did this with immigration and gun control.
We are not going to get a spending resolution we like, but it should include at least be a small victory for Republicans that isn’t a spending increase. Trump has shown the losers that we can win the shutdown debate if it is framed properly.
I hope President Trump does more then threaten to veto that spending bill because he and we the American Taxpayers have gotten the shaft.
Force congress to return for an Emergency session and get that wall funded as well as immigration enforcement and rebuild the military.
Don’tgive Schumer his tunnel if those items are not funded completely.
I just hope it isn't too brilliant by half.
He vetos and they take it back and stuff a bunch of DACA crap in it with still little wall funding and that little pill about the form of the wall the money can be spent on - and our wet noodles help pass it - then where will he be? He'll have to sign the pig or look like a fool.

I hope against hope Trump does not sign this. But if he does, it will forever send the phrase “read my lips” into irrelevance. The multidimensional chess hero will forever be known for ending liberty with his kung fu treachery.

I don’t give a crap about the DACA illegals, but Trump is playing smart politics.
I agree, half a billion to PP, no wall funding, complete giveaway to the Democrats, who are actually saying it was better than when they were in power. Of course when Dems held Congress there was an opposition party. Veto it and shut the govt down, then only open about half of it and see if anyone notices anything different.
I wonder if Trump is playing this. The whole thing is a major turd.
