There is no way to remove tracking.
None. Applications can somewhat be prevented from accessing location data, but your phone’s location of s always known to the carrier. Always. Your phone cannot work without location data.
I believe it allowed the tracking of other phones were around the initial phone and then follow those devices monitoring which switched cell sites at the same time indicating those phones were moving together.
Rather a clever method of finding conspirators.

Fox News reporting “unverified” information that the bomber was “anti-abortion” and “anti-gay” - in other words, throwing whatever anti-conservative propaganda against a wall in the hopes that something will stick. Gee? WHAT agenda?
If the bomber was REALLY “anti-abortion” and “anti-gay” you’d think he would have bombed an abortion clinic or gay nightclub, huh? Since he didn’t, even if he WAS “anti-abortion” and “anti-gay” what possible relevance do those opinions have to this EXCEPT to smear conservatives?
