If this (much re: Trump actually), and the Brexit export story, don’t show the folly to We the People....

Govt ‘needing’ to be ‘run’ by elite educated, blue-blooded, living-in-an-echo-chamber...Is it no wonder *NOTHING* get accomplished, let alone for We the People (the *outsiders*, the smelly riff-raft [Reid], pleebs and serfs).

What if the Norks unconditionally surrender and end the Korea War, allowing all of the US Troops to come home.

That would justify a HUGE parade in DC!!!

There is no victory.

The Chinese and North Korea have gotten what North Korea has demanded for years - face to face U.S.-North Korea negotiations with no preconditions that North Korea must meet to have such a meeting.

Ignored is that (a) North Korea may meet with South Korea but does not consider the South Korean government legitimate, and (b) North Korea considers the U.S. as “in charge of” South Korea, and (c) the only “peace” North Korea seeks is U.S. agreement on “reunification” of Korea, on the North’s terms.

What’s going on now is all a show that ignores all that. If Trump ignores it all, he does so at the peril of South Korea immediately and the U.S. and Japan longer term.

How about another view of things:

Fat Kim and his cohorts are looking to divide and conqueror and suckering the U.S. into discussions that the North never intends to keep.

The South has a very Liberal Left President now that would give the North just about anything they wanted all in the name of “peace” (note the quotes).

And with the North issuing statements basically telling the South that their beef isn’t with their brothers but with the U.S. it’s a definite attempt to divide two allies and weaken their resolve to stand up tot he North.

It’s just another case of the North playing the U.S. to try and get supplies and take the heat off while they reload their rocket program all the while making promises they never intend to keep.

BEWARE ! Don’t let your optimism get to you. we’ve been on this road before.

I gotta be honest. I totally did not expect anything from Trump or the US on this point. My assumption was that N Korea would get a nuke/icbm this year. I didn’t think it was stoppable...and really and truthfully, I say that without any criticism of Trump. I just figured that is what would happen, and then he would have to contend with the aftermath.

If he pulls this off, I’m just going to be in awe.

Kim's best move would be to merge with the South in exchange for his own chaebol to run. He would be as rich as Samsung and not have to worry about feeding people who he obviously does not care about. True, the execution by .50 caliber would go away (at least in public), but that is a small price to pay to insure that he does not get Ceaușescu'd.

“I’d like to thank President Trump, the vice-president and his wonderful national security team, INCLUDING MY CLOSE FRIEND GENERAL MCMASTER.” — South Korean National Security Adviser Chung Eui-yong, announcing North Korea Kim Jung-un has agreed to de-nuclearize the Korean Peninsula and to meet face-to-face with President Trump within the next two months. (Emphasis mine)

President Trump continues to play the adversarial MSM like a symphony orchestra. First, he enlists third parties outside the Administration to feed red meat to the MSM. Have them divulge hearsay that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and National Security Advisor General H.R. McMaster think Trump is stupid, irrational, and way out of his depth. Then issue official denials and claim the reports are “fake news.”

Trump knows the MSM, always eager to undermine him and encourage America’s adversaries, will take the bait every time, e.g. this 04/11/17 report from BuzzFeed News:

“McMaster bluntly trashed his boss, said the sources, four of whom told BuzzFeed News they heard about the exchange directly from (Oracle C.E.O. Safra) Catz. The top national security official dismissed (President Trump) variously as an ‘idiot’ and a ‘dope’ with the intelligence of a ‘kindergartner,’ the sources said.

A sixth source who was not familiar with the details of the dinner told BuzzFeed News that McMaster had made similarly derogatory comments about Trump’s intelligence to him in private, including that the president lacked the necessary brainpower to understand the matters before the National Security Council ...

“McMaster’s remarks during the dinner, wherein he also reportedly praised the Iranian nuclear deal, were part of the reason (”staunchly pro-Israel G.O.P. megadonor Sheldon Adelson”) privately bankrolled a campaign to oust him—a charge an Adelson spokesperson denied. Despite the effort, McMaster remained in place, though if Trump takes as much offense to “idiot” and “dope” as he does to “moron,” his job security might be up for debate.”

Forcing the Fat Little Psychopath to back down may lose the little guy some face, but he can afford to lose a little, since he’s got more chins than a Chinese phone book, so he’ll be OK.

Backing down is better than having getting forcibly removed from power, one way or the other.

We’re not going to fall for this, are we? The NORKs regularly promise to end their nuclear program in exchange for millions of dollars from the U.S. As soon as they get the money, they press on with their nuclear weapons development program. I expect President Trump to be too smart to fall for the promises that Clinton, Bush, and the Kenyan did.

Trump is the master negotiator. He surprises everyone. By leading kim jong un to want to meet, he is advancing the cause of peace, and deserves a Nobel Peace Prize. Obviously, he won’t get the prize. The p*ssy-men in Stockholm thought bammy deserved the prize, and will never give it to Trump.
