It sounds like President Trump is supporting Manchin/Toomey universal background check bill. Does anyone else get that impression?
If this is what they were pushing before, it will outlaw private sales and will result over time in a registry.

I heard a bit of the meeting on a talk radio station broadcast out of Boston....The Howie Carr Shoe.
Trump was saying something about send me a bill with pages concerning domestic violence, and I’ll sign it.

As always, you have to wait and see what is in the bill. Remember all the pearl clutching over the tax bill? It never ceases to amaze me how quick a lot of freepers will turn on Trump. It’s not like he is fighting the whole world single handedly as is. Trump is results oriented, at least wait for the result before hitting the fainting couch.

Well, what he’s saying in this meeting should not give us any comfort, and the Rats are getting all giddy. So, what does that tell you? My jaw dropped watching this.
Oh I’m sure it’s the same as all the other times someone on FR SWEARS Trump is going to do XYZ, only for him not, and then we will hear nothing from those people ever again.

Things I didn’t like:
1. Steve Scalise’s concealed carry proposition was rejected because he said it wouldn’t pass.
2. Someone was talking about being opposed to the age limit from 18 to 21, and Trump questioned if he was afraid of the NRA. (I’m not a fan of that “afraid of the NRA” talking point.)
We shouldn’t have to depend on the House. We need The President to help kill it in the senate too.
He probably just wants the Libs to be nice to him. Trump probably saw how well the Rats treated Bush after he caved on every issue. Remember how they always gave Bush a break after No Child Left Behind compromise?
