WASHINGTONU.S. Senate Democratic Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) released the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court rejected a request by the Trump Administration for expedited consideration of its challenge to an injunction blocking the Administrations termination of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program:
President Trump created this crisis six months ago, and his administration continues to use every available legal option to prevent Dreamers from keeping their DACA protection. The need for the Dream Act is no less urgent following the Supreme Courts decision, which does not change the reality that tens of thousands of Dreamers are losing their work permits and protection from deportation. Now its up to the President and Republican leaders in Congress to take yes for an answer and accept any of the six bipartisan solutions on the table to save these young people.
Here's an old song I like;)
Lord Obama created this problem when he decreed it from on high and ain’t no way the courts can stop Trump from making his own exec order.
I wondered if the Dems received a heads-up that this was what was coming. They havent seemed too worried about the DACAs, who would be/are a big voting bloc for them.
How man DACAjugend claim dual citizenship?
Little Dick Durbin
Tightened his turban
Opened his mouth to bray.
Along came a Dreamer
Who pooped out a steamer
And frightened Dick Durbin away.
Then Durbin must be all.in, on Trump’s proposal to legalize these daca people. Is he? After all, a legislative solution will get rid of Obama and Trump exec orders on this subject. Durbin should be All.in, right?????
How can this be:
Obama creates this program by executive order. No laws were passed , he just did an executive order.
If DACA was created by executive order, why can’t it simply be overruled by another executive order? Legally speaking, how is it that the supreme Court let legal challenges stand, including the legal.injunction against ending DACA?
I don’t understand the legal reasoning or principles involved.
What crisis?
Head north,Pedro...head north,Abdul...there's a bright future ahead of you there!
The liberal view is that everything Trump does creates a crisis.
And, the liberal view is that DACA was a given to be an ongoing program with no expiration. So to them, setting a deadline creates a crisis.
Hey A-hole, Americans are dreamers too.
Yep, I get that. I was referring to reality and not the Dem fantasy land.
prevent Dreamers from keeping their DACA protection

That protection from our laws is ILLEGAL, dumbass.
It’s always nice to see our elected officals looking out for the interests of their constituents...
In the mean time, American citizens get the middle finger from congress, the courts, and law enforcement.
The best politcians that mexico city can buy reside right in Washington DC.
If CWII breaks out, expect mexico to get dragged into it.
DACA —> DEFERRED ACTION
It wasn’t meant to be permanently deferred, Schumer, you effing pandering pro-MS-13 idiot.
“I dont understand the legal reasoning or principles involved.”
LOLOLOL. You silly goose, you. They don’t need no stinking legal reasoning, principles or precedent. They just do what FEELS GOOD. It’s in our “living constitution.”
The Kenyanesian Usurper made up DACA out of thin air, but the GOP refused to take him to court to stop him from doing bit.
Boehner, Ryan, Cantor, McConnell and Cornyn wanted amnesty as much as Obama so they let him do it.
If they had sued to stop it in 2012, it would have been ruled illegal and ended years ago.
In a sane world you'd be right, but it seems to me that's exactly what the goofy judge ruled. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the bottom line of the ruling as I read the story was that it was legal for Obama to make the ruling but illegal for Trump to stop it.
