Michelle Gisin of Switzerland has won the women's Alpine combined with an aggressive slalom run to edge American Mikaela Shiffrin at the Pyeongchang Olympics.
Lindsey Vonn, the leader after the downhill portion, made a mistake early in the slalom Thursday and didn't finish in what's likely her final Winter Games.
Gisin was nearly flawless in finishing in a combined time of 2 minutes, 20.90 seconds to hold off silver medalist Shiffrin by 0.97 seconds. Wendy Holdener of Switzerland earned the bronze.

Oh, my! I hope I can sleep tonight wondering in Vonn will take her singular bronze to the White House... I HOPE NOT. I never want to see her or her third place medal again, especially not in my country’s house. I rooted against Vonn (who felt it necessary to make the Olympics all about her leftist political views), and I was American enough to get an all-expense paid vacation to Afghanistan, and three to Iraq.

I can’t imagine folks are going to be standing in line to give her endorsement deals after her terrible performance at the Olympics and having pissed off half the country with her Trump comments. Maybe her agent should give Larry Flynt a call.
