All but two of the 25 worst mass public shootings occurred outside the United States

After the Charleston massacre, President Obama made this comment: “the unique mayhem that gun violence afflicts upon this nation.” Of course, regarding mass public shootings, Obama doesn’t need to look any further than France, which last year suffered 532 casualties (killings and woundings) versus 527 in the US during the first seven full years of the Obama administration from 2009 through January 2017.

...59 of the worst 66, occurred outside the United States...

You mean where highly restrictive gun control Democrats slobber over didn’t work? I didn’t think Democrats ever lied or exaggerate.

Of course not. The Clintons always get a pass.

The anti gun policy is just a diversionary tactic for people who are loyal to those who are violent and just happen to use guns.

IOWs that jackass Dem. Senator Chris Murphy was lying through his teeth yesterday when he said “this only happens in America.”

Cruz and Lanza were on psychoactive drugs according to family members and acquaintances. Holmes was on a psychoactive medication.

Thanks! So that’s

* Cruz (according to his mother’s sister, Barbara Kumbatovich)

* Paddock

* Lanza (Louise Tambascio, friend of Lanza’s family)

* and Holmes (confirmed, on record)!

What is interesting about Paddock is that the general claim (never backed up by the FBI or Vegas cops) is that it was only four months prior to Vegas shooting...that he was put on psychotropic medications. So it took barely over a hundred days for them to affect the guy.

When you go and examine a lot of the guys who have PTSD...psychotropic medications are often prescribed to them.

As a kid, I had this neighbor family that lived across from the farm. Brother and sister there....I knew both of them. As the years passed, they each married. Somewhere in the 2011 period, the brother and his wife got into a messy divorce situation. The sister was a personal friend of the wife, and drove down to be at a divorce hearing (bringing her son along). The sister arrived on the Friday before the hearing. Over that weekend...the brother came to the house...murdered the wife, his daughter, his sister, and the sister’s son (mass murder). Then he killed himself. The previous six year, he had a lot of stress and I suspect he was on a psychotropic medication theme as well. Doesn’t matter now...he’s dead.

I suspect if you could terminate or end psychotropic drug production....that you’d notice a 50-percent drop-off in these mass murders within the first year alone.

Would you post a citation for Cruz being on psychotropic medication? I have seen only references that he had stopped going to counseling. Would greatly appreciate having that information.

Also, has anyone seen a diagnosis mentioned?

‘Gun Free Zones’ and the abuse of psychotropic drugs has a big roll in all of this.

This is an AMAZING list. I was in several conversations today about American mass shootings where various people felt that “this doesn’t happen in other countries.” This is absolutely vital info. No, out of the 66 worst recent mass shootings, ranging from the worst 300 dead to the least, #66, with 15 dead, only three of them happened in the US. This is an important link to share. I didn’t know it myself. The stats are from 1980s to 2017. Must save.

Kumbatovich said she believed Nikolas Cruz was on medication to deal with his emotional fragility. "She was struggling with Nikolas the last couple years," she said.

Cruz was getting treatment at a mental health clinic for a while, but hadn’t been there for more than a year, Broward County Mayor Beam Furr said during an interview with CNN.

The chances that they wanted an evaluation and that a psychiatrist would have wanted to prescribe something are high with regards to his behavior.

"Autism" was mentioned in the following, but that would be highly unlikely. Even Asperger's would be a terrible and probably dishonest stretch. You know that any board that evaluated him won't be talking to the media. The info will probably come out as the criminal case goes on, though. Such info was even exposed from the tightly controlled and sealed Holmes case.

Want some insight into the real problem? Here it is, in his adoptive mother's reaction along with the many reports from other publications (per witnesses) of the many police visits to her residence.

Fla. shooting suspect had a history of explosive anger, depression, killing animals

Cruz started throwing eggs at Speno’s car with no warning, Speno recalled. He and a friend chased Cruz back to his house. "We were pissed off, so we knocked on the door and his mom came out," Speno said. When the two told her what happened, Cruz’s mom had a strange reaction. "She said, ‘No, my son would never do that. He’s inside sleeping,’ " Speno recalled.

So it took barely over a hundred days for them to affect the guy.

I'll tell you what, around 1982 the gal I was dating gave me an anti-anxiety pill she had. I don't recall why, I must have been real upset about something, she suggested it and I thought it was a good idea.

Within an hour I was feeling nothing but rage and very specifically feeling like I wanted to kill somebody. For no reason at all. Totally not me. I was never a fighter not even when drunk as a skunk. The feeling and the thoughts were irresistible.

At the time I had pretty much lost interest in smoking pot but had friends that always had some. Went over to their place, asked them to get me stoned and went home and went to bed still feeling murderous but at least the feeling was resistible and I could fall sleep.

Of all the things I've ever taken nothing has ever put thoughts in my head like that Rx psychotropic pill nor has anything else made me feel agitated and angry. It scared the crap out me that it could do that. I was struggling to reason it out but it was overriding all my efforts.

To be clear, it wasn't anger that I took the #@$# pill for in the first place. The anger came out of nowhere when the pill kicked in. Actually it was more rage and hatred than what I normally experience as anger.
