Well, it depends. Are those numbers the monthly poverty level, or are they 130% of it?

Wow, that's quite a monthly income! About 1,000 per month for a single person. Which with few studio apt. being under $ 700, plus utilities around here likely means that most poor with a income of 12,000 have another source, welfare and or share.
