Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a statement Friday following the release of the controversial Nunes memo alleging FISA abuse by the FBI and Department of Justice. I have great confidence in the men and women of this Department. But no Department is perfect.
Full statement:
Congress had made inquiries concerning an issue of great importance for the country and concerns have been raised about the Departments performance. I have great confidence in the men and women of this Department. But no Department is perfect.
Accordingly, I will forward to appropriate DOJ components all information I receive from Congress regarding this. I am determined that we will fully and fairly ascertain the truth.
We work for the American people and are accountable to them and those they have elected. We will meet that responsibility.
If corrupt Comey says the memo is “misleading”, why isn’t he demanding
the supporting documents be released too?
We all know why.
Speaking from personal experience? Do you agree with Trump’s morning tweets? If not, I guess you think all Trump has done in his life is run his mouth while stumbling Chauncey-Gardiner-esq into the Presidency.
> Jeff Sessions is part of the swamp.
I’ve been saying that since before he was appointed AG... but, wow, that statement makes me want to punch the guy.
(And I’ll refrain from saying more, because it’d probably get me banned [and/or investigated by the FBI] to say what I really feel.)
...and sessions has stonewalled Trump.
Which one is the boss??
If they can't agree, who should simply quit?
Well, then, Mr. Attorney General, INDICT the imperfect ones who broke the law!
Yeah.....can’t stand to look at his weasel face. I hope he’s reading this. If he is......F you Rosenstein!
Trump does that too..just before he crushes them like the bug they are.
After the mid-terms, if we come through with the House, then I think Trump will start to really play rough.
up until now Trump was willing to make some concessions.
The idea is to make him feel important and sacrosanct.
Then give him plenty of rope while he exposes himself, his followers, and their bias against what is going to be accomplished.
Then chop him off at the knees...and tell his followers to get in line or get the same.
I have done this...it works like a charm.
There is no more “finding out” to be done to verify the memo. The 99 pages already IS the evidence. Duh.
Act like a patriot NOW or Get Out of the Way. NOW.
I was asked to reconsider that Sessions might indeed be a patriot, which I did. This latest statement of his just confirms he is a disgusting trojan horse who deserves the same fate as his fellow traitors.
Just wow.
Can’t believe he said that.
W.T.F.
Sessions and Rosenstein need to be fired.
In one sentence Sessions killed the ‘memo’ and undercut the President right at the knees. Words escape me.
The sycophantic bean-counter is always wrong...just hoping to cruise to his gov. pension by bowing to Zod.
Right.

Add me to that list!! Until today I have given Jeff Sessions a pass. NO MORE!!! HE MUST GO!!!
Never in the history of this country has there been such a monumental tide of political corruption and never has there been an Attorney General so undermatched to the needs of the emergency.
Mr. Sessions, for the good of the Republic, RESIGN!
..and if you're wrong, does that make you a moron?
The stakes are too high to be arrogantly cute.

BINGO!!
Hey look, an exclusive Let’s Bash Sessions thread (instead of bashing him in all the other threads). His statement is sound. The idea that a Congressional memo can be used as judge, jury and executioner is completely ridiculous. Either we have the rule of law applied to everyone, or we don’t. It doesn’t matter one whit whether the Dems uphold the rule of law, it is up to us to uphold it.
