President Donald Trump has approved the release of a classified memo compiled by House Republicans on the intelligence committee, clearing the way for its release Friday, multiple outlets report.

Announce the release on THURSDAY, to allow the news cycle to be consumed with - “It’s coming tomorrow! What’s in it?”
Release FRIDAY in time for the evening broadcasts and the news is “The memo is out! Here’s what it says...(regardless of MSM spin).”
By doing this Trump drives the news cycle for the entire week (SOTU and MEMO). Genius.
Here’s hoping they wait until 5pm to release it. And, it should be released to the House document site in PDF format and overseen/approved by Nunes himself.
That will give us all weekend to digest and deconstruct all 4 pages. Really, did the media think we were going to watch the SB after what Goodell said?

I really hope they try. Until now, just the executive branch has been stymied by the courts’ over reaching.
In this case, the judiciary would be dealing with the branch that structures them and pays them.
Separation of powers is real.

A. It builds suspense.
B. It FORCES the drivebys to cover the story for another 24 hours.
More, not less, people who only rely on the drivebys for news will want to see it than a quick dump would.

This would be more believable if it referred to the Republican Representatives who voted to release the memo. The Senate has nothing to do with the memo.

I see your point but Friday news dumps are a tradition when bad news has to be released. This OTOH is news that exonerates DJT so, for me at least, I’d fire away today.

Per Napolitano a few minutes ago, once PDJT gives the go-ahead, it has to go BACK to legislature. Then they have to release it. (Maybe they have to sign off before release; I don’t recall.) They’re in Greenbrier now so can’t do it now/today.
At least that’s how I understood it.
