The guggenheim is shaped like a giant toilet.
Beautiful painting! Thanks for showing.

He should take them up on their offer and display it with a sign so everyone in America can see what Trump has to put up with. And HE’S the crass one? Unbelievable. I wonder how many fundraisers businessman Trump went at the Guggenheim and how much money he gave them over the years. Liberal politics makes even the giants small and petty. Their anger and resentment cannot be contained.
I remember pictures of Ronald Reagan in the oval office with a painting of American flags on Fifth Avenue (I think). Very classy.
I am looking forward to the Trump response.
What fools the Guggenheim is, Trump is going to have the last word on this if he chooses to do so.
I would, but I think the image has to be web based — doesn’t it? You need an address, right?
Just love that this museum has this gold toilet called “America”. So I guess the “artist” was trying to say America is a $h!thole, a glorified, gold one but still just a $h!thole.
And they had it installed and people could use it. How did they advertise it? Come to the Guggenheim and piss on or take a dump on “America”!
This thread reminds me of one of the closing scenes in the Thomas Crown Affair remake.
Detective Russo is talking about his orders to recover the latest stolen painting. Something about not caring, that art is important to only a few self-important people. Then he talks about something very important to him - arresting a man who was beating his kids to death.
Kind of sums up this thread - art is important to only the self centered self important people.
What a incredibly base & mean thing to say to Melania. I will not support the Guggenheim and bad mouth it for as long as I live. What a low classless thing to do.
This has the ring of another fabricated piece of news. Is it???
The goofyheim museum is run by your typical classless artsy - artsy lefty-loser. I would ONLY visit there to tell this low-class director to KMA.
FLUSH IT!
The Guardian claims they have a copy of the email from the Guggenheim curator making the offer.
Actually unlikely that the patrons of this exhibit were immigrants. Visiting the Guggenheim for the avant garde is very much a native New Yorker thing to do.
