Opinion: Trump has fundamentally changed the way global leaders view America
NBC "News" ^ | January 25, 2018 | by Vicente Fox

I know what it’s like to lead a country. My advice to Trump is to get out of politics before he does any more damage.

America is great. It's always been great — we don’t need to “make it great again”. I actually think that it’s always going to be great. But I want to emphasize that America could be greater if it sees itself as more than just the United States, if it sees itself as a part of a larger America. All all of us together — Canada, the United States and Mexico, The North American continent — could be the strongest, most competitive region in the world and the largest consumer market in the world.

But not with President Donald Trump.

The first day Trump spoke about Mexico and Mexicans, I felt very, very bad. Mexico doesn't deserve these insults, we don't deserve all the qualifications and the adjectives that he has used to describe us. Calling us criminals. Calling us rapists.

In 2016, Trump offended 120 million Mexicans. And as a representative of Mexico, I’m here to make it clear that the real Mexico is different. We are still one of the largest economies in the world. We are a solid nation with a solid future. Mexico is a reliable partner to United States.

Trump said the American Dream was dead. He’s a liar. The American Dream is alive. But here’s the thing: if you believe in the greatest of American ideals, if you truly believe in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, you cannot remain indifferent to the evils of persecution, poverty, slavery, tyranny and discrimination that drove people out of the old world and are threatening to destroy this new one. America, resist.

We are a solid nation with a solid future.

So you won't mind when we send back all your citizens who illegally violated our borders, dishonestly violated the terms of their visas, and committed numerous violent crimes against us.

Why do we care what this corrupt ex-president thinks of us? He openly sent teems of his poor across the borders for us to take care of. He has zero moral standing to criticize the great United States of America. President Trump isn’t trying to win brownie points from global elites. If that wasn’t clear to you by his campaign and his first year in office, you’ll never get it.

He wants America to succeed so that we’re in better position to defend ourselves against enemies and to help our allies as we see fit. That’s what MAGA is all about, you dope.

Dear Vicente.

First, the biggest reason why Mexico and countries like Haiti have underperformed and failed their people is political corruption. If you want to do something good for your country, fight corruption, and quit trying to blame successful nations for state of your nation.

Second, your use of the word ‘leader’ is a misnomer. Most who wind up in political power in the world are not leaders, they are politicians. There's a very, very big difference. Gaining power in any political circumstance does not make one a ‘leader’. Leaders are able to identify new paths forward, and convince people to follow them along these paths. Politicians hire polling firms, and spend their time with their finger in the wind - trying to determine what to support in order to get the most votes.

History is replete with examples of politicians who ‘changed’ positions, changed parties, and who even survived coups and still remained part of the power structure. That's not leadership. That's cynical self-serving politics - changing stripes when convenient or expedient in order to maintain ones position. This appears to be the majority of politics these days. In short, I have more respect for the intellect and wisdom of those leading everyday lives in the world than for 99% of those you refer to as ‘world leaders’. So, I don't really care what they think of Trump. I'm pretty sure, neither does he.

Why does this Mexican no longer live in Mexico?
He can take this routine back there.

Fox was expected to be a good president and make changes in Mexico’s corrupt socialist system, but he turned out to be terrible. Even though Bush was very friendly towards him, Fox couldn’t resist falling back on that mainstay of Mexican politics, anti-Americanism, and Mexico was the only nation that did not send official condolences to the US after 9/11.

Dear Vicente Fox (Former president),
Trump said the American Dream was dead, it was Obama’s watch that it died.

Calling us murderers?

May 9, 2017 - Mexico had the second-highest number of murders last year among countries considered in "armed conflict," according to a report published on Tuesday. With nearly 23,000 intentional homicides in 2016, Mexico's murder tally was second only to war-torn Syria's 60,000, said Antonio Sampaio.

While homicides are generally reported at a rate per 100,000 people, Sampaio said many countries in armed conflict lack reliable population data. Mexico closed 2016 with a rate of 17.03 homicides per 100,000 people, the highest since 2012, though that may well be an understatement.

The USA was 5.3 per 100,000. STFU vincente.

Stool hole has been looking for 5 more minutes.

Trump just concluded a meeting with many invited dinner guest CEO’s where he listened to each one give his company pitch. They were selling their global companies to Trump. Meanwhile Trump was selling America to them and via TV, the world.

In the annals of all presidential endeavor, that meeting needs to be very high up on the list
