The WH signaled his position pretty clearly in Sarah Sanders’ statement about the President wanting ‘full transparency’. He won’t object to the release of the memo.

You do realize that you just stated two incompatible ideas:
1) “The President has the authority to declassify anything at his discretion.”
2) “He won’t object to the release of the memo.”
Those are *politically*, - these days - but not legally incompatible. He could fire Mueller and even imprison him, legally.
Per Sarah Sanders, pdjt has authorized the memo to be released. I think it was yesterday that I heard her.
A treason charge would be hard to sustain in that the Constitution narrowly defines treason as levying war against the United States or adhering to their enemies by giving them and and comfort. The Framers — who were former revolutionaries after all — were acutely aware of the abuses under English law from a loose definition of treason.

I,too,agree Trump should not testify. Can see it now, Trump will say something and Mueller will reply that he had stated something else a year ago. (slight variation in the statements) And, it all gets leaked to the hyper ventilating fake news who make it out to be a horrific, terrible action and it gets the zombies in the streets calling for impeachment.
Mueller and the rest of the FBI/DOJ left-leaning crowd are desperate to turn the news narrative onto Trump and away from the shocking treasonous findings coming out. I am sure they believe that if they can take Trump down all of the real dirty laundry against them will fade away.

This thing NEEDS to be released before the demonrats convince the public that it is a Republican attack on honest hardworking politicians. They will anyway, but let us read it for ourselves. We will decide.

Can someone explain Rod Rosenstein’s role that would have him in the Nunes memo? I don’t know how he could have been a player in unmasking and or 702 surveillance. That seems to be the subject matter of the memo.
