Facebook announced on Thursday that it will bring Kenneth Chenault, the CEO of American Express, on to its board.
Chenault will become the first African-American board member at the social media giant.
His hiring follows a contentious meeting between Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg and the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) in October, in which Sandberg promised that the company was in the process of appointing a black individual to the board.

I thought they banned black boards because they were “rasis”. We’re all supposed to be using Karl Rove edition white boards now.

Chenault may or may not be a highly qualified individual. Doesn’t matter.
All that matters is that the CBC did a political shakedown on Facebook and had them appoint a negro.
Social Justice Wins! Yippee!

WTF suckerfish? Sounds to me like white boy needs to be fined big time for some sort of racial reason. Took this long to find a black guy for your first board member. Nice going mr. inclusive.

Ha. That was the first thing that entered my mind when I read the headline. Al Jolson on his I Phone.

Amex continues to lose benefits, increasing costs and prestige - Chennault either instigated that or hasnt helped it.
For an annual membership fee I used to have a 60 day grace period to pay off my charge card (helps when getting reimbursed by expense accounts) and access to all the Airlines sky clubs.
Now they give me 15 days like any credit card, charge me a late fee if I dont make that and all the airlines have abandoned them except Delta. For this privilege theyve almost doubled the membership fee since I started.
