Based on Wolffs reporting, it can now be said that the Trump administration mishandled the ridiculous Russian collusion canard in the crucial early days at least in part because its chief strategist believed it.
Heckuva job, Stevey.

Welcome to FR.
Laugh is that he believed it and believed Trump did not want to win at the same time. Why collude if you do not want to win?
This appears to be an anti-Trump website if you follow the stories at the bottom.
Apparently this Michael Wolff kook is known to make up fake stories and fake quotes. Even Barack Obama has slammed him (Wolff) for quoting him on something he claims he didn't say.
Wolff has a record of being unreliable, and he has said that he doesn’t know how much of what he wrote is actually true.
Bannon has tweeted his complete support for President Trump.
Many who are quoted in the book have flat-out denied the things that they’re supposed to have said.

Excellent analysis!! I admit I was more taken in by Bannon a year ago, but he has gone off the rails and this article explains how he never was good at some of the most crucial strategic judgments in politics.
Seems like they let people post a lot earlier after signing up than they did when I signed up.
But hey, Bannon is CNN’s new hero!
I am one of the FReepers who has posted about how unreliable Wolff has been in the past, but that does not mean Bannon does not bear some serious fault for what has been portrayed by Wolff.
Bannon was the “chief strategist” in name only. As of November 7th, 2016, Bannon was totally out of the loop, and not part of the administration in any meaningful sense.
This is so much nonsense. Ailes tolerated Trump for 30 years? Trump wasn’t a Republican or involved in politics most of that time. Bannon did not make Trump president, the mainstream media did.
I have been persuaded by the lack of denials from Bannon into believing that there is some truth to what has been alleged about Bannon. I do not like it, but it appears that Bannon may have done something very stupid.
Probably he did it out of irrational animosity toward's Jared Kurshner, but it was none the less a very stupid thing to do.
What we do know is that Bannon has not denied or renounced his very personal attacks on Don, Jr., et Al. The “treasonous and unpatriotic” comment is way beyond the pale, and supports false MSM and Democrat narratives.
I would think that by that time it no longer mattered. It only mattered in the months previous to that.
I really doubt that.
