The Israeli government has issued a notice for thousands of African migrants to leave the country or face imprisonment.
The migrants will be given up to $3,500 (£2,600) for leaving within the next 90 days.
They will be given the option of going to their home country or third countries.
If they do not leave, the Israeli authorities have threatened that they will start jailing them from April.

One thing positive about Israel is that the protect their people and culture from alien invasion. Trump is simply trying to do the same, Israel has a fine Wall and we will too— all the wall ( not 10% of the wall) or there will be no daca and they can go HOME to their country on March 1 to the absolute delight to millions of us.

Here’s the crazy thing: if these folks had converted to Judaism, they could immigrate to Israel. That alone tells me that they’re not all that sincere in their desire to come to Israel and stay and make themselves into useful citizens.
I recall reading that this message was sent to all illegal immigrants in Israel, not just “Africans”.
The headline makes it sound racist.
When the rest of the world is moving into “kill all the Jews” mode, they can’t really afford to take in a lot of economic refugees at the expense of those Jews still out in the Diaspora. They have less land than ever before, and more people to care for.

It's the BBC. Of course they meant to make Israel sound racist. Ignore the way Israel rescued African Jews, who were being abused my muslims in Africa, and are working to integrate them into Israeli society (something complicated when you consider that Israel is very much a modern, 1st world country.)

I gather that these immigrants are not Jewish. There are many African Jews in Israel. Israel is a tiny country, and cannot accept non-Jewish refugees. There are plenty of Jews who are leaving Europe. There are few countries which will accept Jews, and many which will accept Muslims and Christians.
How did they even get in?

Interesting question. I’m not from Sudan or Eritrea. I also have no desire or need to emigrate. I’m also a fairly emphatic believer in Christ. So the answer is no. But I’m not everyone.
Israel is specifically a Jewish state. I would think that someone who wants to emigrate there would want to be a part of their society.
