President Trump Declares National Emergency Over Global Rights Abuses and Corruption
epoch times ^

Posted on 12/22/2017 7:58:37 AM PST by MNDude

President Donald Trump declared a national emergency on Dec. 21 in response to severe human rights abuses and corruption around the world.

In his executive order, the president said that rights abuses and corruption “have reached such scope and gravity that they threaten the stability of international political and economic systems.”

“I hereby declare a national emergency to deal with that threat,” Trump said.

The executive order allows for the freezing of assets, within U.S. jurisdiction, of foreigners who commit severe human rights abuses, or corruption, for the most part outside of the United States.

In effect, the executive order allows for the United States to crack down on international criminal networks who engage in human rights abuses, such as child traffickers.

Does anyone else here think this is a big deal that the MSM is ignoring? It’s reported almost nowhere!

I’ve heard nothing of this. This is pretty ominous for those involved in child trafficking. Makes me think something is in store for the new year.

It is a big deal, but the MSM ignore anything the President does that is important. They’d rather follow around losers like Obama or Hillary, making proclamations about what geniuses those two are all the while dissing the TRUE genius.

I would add that IMO there is a HUGE child trafficking web within the Dem party and their friends.

I’m not going to get excited until I see names being locked up, not these low level arrests that don’t lead to anything.

I was aware of that thread, but I thought it deserved the recognition that the president declared a state of emergency along with his executive order.

Its a BFD and a sweet start to the new year
Start checking the names on that list and their connections to the Clintons and the Clinton Foundation- and the Hillary’s acts while serving as SecState
Money cant buy happiness - but it can obviously buy political favors from the Clintons
This guy just started on the list of names

You don’t think CINC is going to at *least* top Prince Salman?

Because of it also identifying corruption in general, this is what I think is parallel to Crown Prince Salman’s rooting of corruption in the Saudi Royals. What does that mean? Anything that can be adjudicated as corrupt, period. Everyone can make their inferences but consider this comes the same day as Sessions announcing the Fusion 1 investigation, which if as everything else we have seen, has been going on for some time.

Screw em. The press can cover it if they want. We are making the world a better place to live.

As usual they wont have anything to say about it until they can figure out how to make it BAD.

Extradite him so he can work our legal system vs letting the Saudis take care of it? 🤔

This is the opening shot on the war on pizza. Pizza not being food in this case.

He’s going to roll up international networks.

Any thoughts about likely correlation between the crackdown and, um, Nikki Halley’s “we’re taking names” list?

Yes. I think chasing Democrats for typical reasons like influence peddling and corruption would be perceived as “political” or “payback” for Mueller. The media would have an easy time defending the Democrats and making Trump look like a vindictive guy “making stuff up”.

But child trafficking? Pedo Island? Pizzagate? That stuff comes out with anyone actually testifying that it is real and naming names? Katy bar the door! It’s over, and the media will NOT want to be defending pedophiles!

Yeah, “state of emergency” is rather a big deal.
I don’t like it being used outside of actual _emergencies_.

I would love to see The Bent One indicted first.

Is he on life support yet?
