Do we know that the 7 year statute applies? I think most federal crimes have a 5 year limit, with several exceptions including:

Major fraud involving at least $1 million against the federal government (U.S. Code 18 Section 1031) – 7 years

Embezzling funds from a federal financial institution (U.S. Code 18 Section 657) – 10 years

I also thought there were different ways of determining when the clock starts.

Thanks for the kind words, I enjoy your posts as well. As far as the psycho analysis, I typically think logically, being an engineer by trade, who primarily works on security and risk analysis.

So what you're seeing is my risk analysis processing. Not necessarily negative, but guarded and on alert. Aware of the assets, and what threatens them, and in this case Trump is a rare asset of incredible importance. And there's not much that can take a President down, but a special prosecutor is at or near the top of the list.

I don't have a crystal ball to know how it will turn out, nor do I see liberal democrats as the submissive type, so in my estimation there is no reason to assume this war is anything but far from over. In fact, I actually feel like the battle has just finally been joined by the Republicans for the first time in a long, long time. And that is primarily due to Trump, again underlining his importance to be protected. And there are surely threats out there to him that we haven't exposed yet, either.

So don't worry, I am thrilled at the progress we are making, but rather than celebrate, I'd rather work to ensure the winning continues. And I also ensure you, there's nothing else I'd rather be doing, as the wait to see the media and Democrats buckled over has been long indeed, and needs to be extended as long as possible. Cheers!

I may be overly cynical. My view of Sessions is that he wouldn’t be allowing people to ask questions re Uranium One if there was any danger of people being charged, tried, convicted and going to prison. Look at all the recent, established, unquestionable crimes Hillary has committed. No active investigation. But Jeff has to do something, so he picks a crime that was committed over 7 yrs ago. It just fits the pattern too well.

I hope I am not being overly optimistic. I think when an investigation is ongoing, any crime found can be prosecuted, and there are probably a multitude of them still under any statute of limitations, including the email servers and other crimes. So I think any investigation is a good sign, and I suspect, as it should be, that there is much more going on than we can currently see.

I *hope* there’s more going on than what we see. So far all I’ve seen is Mueller getting completely out of control.

DOJ officials promised Congress the department would look into whether a special counsel is warranted to investigate the uranium deal, and possibly, bring charges.

Key phrase..............IMO.

Good Ole Sniffer…..

A man had just settled into his seat next to the window on the plane when another man sat down in the aisle seat and put his black Labrador retriever in the middle seat next to the man.

The first man looked very quizzically at the dog and asked why the dog was allowed on the plane.

The second man explained that he was from the Drug Enforcement Agency and that the dog was a 'sniffing dog' 'His name is Sniffer and he's the best there is. I'll show you once we get airborne, when I put him to work.’

The plane took off, and once it had leveled out, the Agent said, 'Watch this.' He told Sniffer to 'search'.

Sniffer jumped down, walked along the aisle, and finally sat very purposefully next to a woman for several seconds.

Sniffer then returned to his seat and put one paw on the Agent's arm.

The Agent said, 'Good boy', and he turned to the man and said, 'That woman is in possession of marijuana, I'm making a note of her seat number and the authorities will apprehend her when we land.

'Gee, that's pretty good,' replied the first man.

Once again, the Agent sent Sniffer to search the aisles...The Lab sniffed about, sat down beside a man for a few seconds, returned to its seat, and this time he placed two paws on the agent's arm.

The Agent said, 'That man is carrying cocaine, so again, I'm making a note of his seat number for the police.’

'I like it!' said his seat mate.

The Agent then told Sniffer to 'search' again. Sniffer walked up and down the aisles for a little while, sat down for a moment, and then came racing back to the agent, jumped into the middle seat and proceeded to poop on the seat.

The first man was really disgusted by this behavior and couldn't figure out how or why a well-trained dog would behave like that. So he asked the Agent, 'What's going on?’

The Agent nervously replied, 'He's just found a bomb.'

Two things I would like....I would like to see a copy of Bill Clinton’s $500,000 speech that he gave in Moscow about the same time the uranium deal was ok’d. It must have been one hell of a speech. And I would like to know why the $140,000,000 payment went to the Clinton Foundation instead of the US Govt.

Do we trust this corrupt DOJ/FBI with this? Why no special counsel?
