I had never really thought about it (just imagining Lazer Wolf types ordering whole steers, I guess), but assuming the undocumented workers were goyim, wouldn’t there need to be safeguards against contamination in case they had come in contact with pork before their shift? Monitored hand-washing, perhaps?
I remember this case. The sheer number of undocumented workers was astounding and reading the article there was a lot more shenanigans with the business. Looks like Mr. Rubashkin took the rap for financial fraud in exchange for dropping immigration charges. Pleading guilty to financial fraud in conservative Iowa was just plain bad legal advice. One thing I’ve learned is Iowans don’t look highly on folks who cheat on their taxes or commit financial fraud.
I don’t want to make a big deal about this as I truly believe that Alan Dershowitz is a free thinking honorable person who calls it as he sees it, but clearly he’s been in Trump court whenever he appears on TV. Is this related to Trump’s commutation? Don’t know, but I for one have appreciated Mr. Dershowitz’s support of the president.

A thread from yesterday if anyone cares to scan the comments there on.
We cannot fathom how truly sound and sensible sentencing rules could call for a life sentence or anything close to it for Mr. Rubashkin, a 51-year-old, first-time, nonviolent offender, they wrote. The letter is signed by Janet Reno, William Barr, Richard Thornburgh, Edwin Meese III, Ramsey Clark and Nicholas Katzenbach, all of whom served as attorney general.
Haha! EVen these people were unable to convince Obama to intervene. Being the coward that he is, doesn’t surprise me.
