Why I Confronted Jeff Flake on a Plane
CNN ^ | Fri December 15, 2017 | Ady Barkan

Posted on 12/15/2017 12:40:36 PM PST by nickcarraway

I've spent my career as an advocate for economic justice, fighting for basic fairness for working families. It wasn't until this past year that I began fighting for my own life.

It's that fight that led me to get arrested protesting the Republican tax plan in Washington, and that led me into debating it with Sen. Jeff Flake at 30,000 feet in the air on my way home.

I never thought I'd be in this position. A year ago, I was healthy, taking morning runs on the California coast and looking forward to a new life with my newborn son, Carl.

Lokks to me with all of those companies to run, maybe it is just too much for him to handle with only one employee for all three.

Perhaps he should have emulated DB Cooper and jumped out the back of the plane.

Without the money, of course.

Or the parachute.

In other words, a communist.

For once, I wish these people would be honest with who they are and what they really stand for. Instead of having to deceive in order to push this agenda.

I guess they get tired of trying to convince us it will "work" if the right people are in charge so it's easier to deceive Americans. If it "worked" they would not have to deceive but they're so insane/fanatical towards communism, they ignore all realworld logic.

"...Fighting the bill at these last stages seems impossible. But I know that even the impossible can be overcome. Before my diagnosis, I started a campaign called Fed Up, fighting for what seemed an unattainable goal: reforms to the Federal Reserve to make it more accountable to low-income communities of color...

From exactly the same people who brought us all the way along the road of ruin from the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 to the crash of 2008.

And yeah, I dislike Flake too. But I hate people like this ACORN POS even more.

Even if Senator Flake promised personally to underwrite all this man’s medical care, the author would still have ALS, still be in pain, still experience increasing incapacity, and still die.

I can understand that, rather than accepting this, he would prefer to believe that there could be some other outcome if only Good Prevailed in the Federal budget.

I've spent my career as an advocate for economic justice...

"...but I did it in one of the richest countries in the world that used to have the largest middle class until the socialist policies I supported destroyed that middle class. Of course I didn't go to any of the countries where the poor are truly poor and kept that way by their countries' corrupt systems, because that would require my fat, lazy ass to have to do some actual work and it would mean I had to live among actual poor people. "

This guy can go piss up a rope.

I’d like reporters to simply report facts, and point our right/left POV’s if it necessary for context.

Ady sounds like the kind of reporter that is the problem. He wants to change the world, be an advocate for change, champion some sort of cause. Even if this guy was a conservative republican I’d have the same comment.

Reporters - report
Commentators - comment

Well, if you have ever read "Rules for Radicals", very likely the Bible for this guy (as it was for Clinton and Obama) you would know they cannot do that.

In the first editions of "Rules for Radicals", there was a dedication to Lucifer from Alinsky:

Several copies of the book I had seen did not have it, and it was only when I got it from the Library that it has a newer printing that had the text.

Apparently, Alinsky had the publishers remove the dedication to Lucifer because he had to work with the clergy, and didn't want to upset them with that quote, so he had to lie and deceive them.

Typical.

They put it back in the later editions, because then, it was considered cool and edgy, and the clergy by that time had no problem with it. The clergy he dealt with were probably most like "Reverend" Wright's "church" in Chicago.

Bottom line, they can't let people know exactly who they are, even today. They have to lie and deceive lest people catch on.

Who knew there were so many liberal deficit hawks? They all seemed to be in hiding during the Obama years, when our deficit really skyrocketed.

For anyone who wants to know what this guy was worried about...

Its the deficit! Yep! Didn’t give a rat’s rear (literally) about it under Obama, but he’s decided the Trump tax plan will cause such huge deficits that Medicaid and Medicare will cease to exist - and they will cut funding for his life support equipment.

But only, of course, after the Republicans push his grand mother down the stairs!

OK, I made that last part up. But this liberal buttwipe is suddenly worried that the government will have deficits. But he loved Obama. Cognitive dissonance exemplified.

Yes, that has been the marxist/commie-types guide in the USA for decades. I read awhile back from a media watch dog, where they claimed there is Rules for Radicals in almost all newsrooms, local and national, in the US. That would not surprise me at all given how the medias practice it every day against freedom-loving Constitutional-supporting Americans. Another reason they have to deceive is because this corrupt movement is not compatible with our Constitution.

I wish more Americans would wake up to the fact this has been a century-long push in this country. The creation of the Federal Reserve, the 16th & 17th Amendments, The New Deal, the creation of the welfare state, and the infiltration of all the places of influence in our culture like education, government, entertainment, music, news, corporations, etc.

They even arrogantly put it in the Congressional Record in the early 60’s on how communists can overtake America. Much of that has come true but many Americans still won’t believe it. We had a President who was going to expose it but was soon later assassinated. Joseph McCarthy was correct this communist movement was making headway in America but they used the power of the commie press to silence him.

I hope with the JFK files released, President Donald J. Trump continues to expose this traitorous movement and Americans who arrogantly thought it could never happen here, humble themselves and understand, it can and IT HAS and we all fight back to restore our Constitutional Republic.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
