The term “high crimes and misdemeanors” has a historical basis in legal terms, not merely political terms, and only by disrespecting the WRITTEN Constitution and the embedded meaning in its words can “high crimes and misdemeanors” be construed to mean any thing politics wants it to mean.

Yes, it is political as to whether or not Congress agrees to take the step of impeachment, but it would shred the Constitution for that process to NOT be founded on what could historically be said to have been “high crimes and misdemeanors”.

Having an open public disagreement with another politician does not count as “high crimes and misdemeanors” merely because one politician is male and one is female. To suggest it is a form of “high crimes and misdemeanors” would be like saying female politicians are immune from criticism by male politicians, and breaking that immunity is a form of sexual abuse.

This is why we have to make sure that we keep to House and even increase our seats, because it is the House that impeaches and we can not allow that.

Anyone that sits home or votes for some third party candidate, and that includes libertarians is to blame if the rats succeed.

We also have to make sure that we not only keep the Senate but increase our seats so we have 60+ seats.
