Guess we have the right enemies. We weren’t going to GAIN allies over that move even if it was the correct one.
I don’t understand the Copts.
This is garbage. The Copts don’t care about the Palis. The Muslims have treated the Copts worse than anyone.
I suspect deep down it’s an attempt to stop further persecution of his people by acting like they’re against the move too.
Why doesn’t a nation have the right to decide where their capital is?
In essence these people are saying that Israel shouldn’t be a nation, period.
Political move. There is no way the Copts can openly support DJT on this one. Even a neutral response would have seen blood in the streets of Shobra.
He doesnt behave like much of a Christian
The Egyptian copts have the role of sitting priests 24/7 in the tomb of the sepulchre
A rite they can be guaranteed in the capital of Israel
Maybe not so much in the capital of palestine
He wants to stay alive....its Egypt
Well, as Ive noted before, its an unfortunate but true fact that most Christians in the Middle East sided with Muslims against the Jews (not just against the Israelis). And among the most viciously anti-Semitic Christians in the Mid-East are the Copts. At ten percent of the Egyptian population, they historically not only supported Egypt against the Jews and Israel, but the Copts participated in Egyptian Muslim pogroms against Jews, supported the expulsion of nearly the entire Jewish Community of Egypt, and even participated in looting and seizing Jewish property before and after the expulsion was complete. And, although they are mostly found in Egypt, in every other Middle Eastern nation in which they have a small presence, Copts have consistently participated in persecuting the Jews. Its not by accident. They are simply following the openly anti-Semitic teachings of Coptic Pope Shenouda III.
As I noted on Christmas Eve, despite the hatred and persecution of Christians by Muslims, the Christians in the Middle Eastwith the exception of some factions of Maronite Christians in Lebanonbet against Israel and the Jews. And they picked the wrong side.

Oh man! How will the US survive without the support of the Coptic pope?
“feelings of millions of people”
When Jordan took East Jerusalem in the 48-49 war, it later annexed it and West Bank making them part of Jordan. And what about the Jewish holy sites in East Jerusalem? It denied Jews access to their holy sites in East Jerusalem, which Jews would not again be able to visit until Israel took back East Jerusalem in the 1967 war.
And what about the Muslim holy sites in East Jerusalem? Israel has not denied Muslims access to the Muslim holy sites in East Jerusalem.
The Egyptian Coptic Pope’s concern about the “feelings of millions” is misplaced, because the “feelings” that concern him are misplaced. Israel has proven that.
History demonstrates that Muslims have nothing to fear about access to Muslim holy sites in East Jerusalem under Israeli rule, but Jews have demonstrable concerns about their capital ever being divided again.
