I don’t want Franken to resign.
I want him to stay as Senator until a republican beats him in the next election.
The democrats have now decided he will be a more of a negative factor than he is worth.
That’s one reason I want him to stay.
I want him flopping around the democrats neck like a dead albatross for the 2018 elections.
Another reason is that if he resigns his replacement will likely be muslim Keith Ellison who will be even worse than Franken.
. . . who might also prove to be a bigger albatros than Franken come 2018.
Don't forget that Trump actually came close to winning Minnesota. The last time a GOP presidential candidate actually did that was in Nixon's 49 state landslide of 1972. Although Reagan came even closer than Trump in 1984 . . . a shift of less than 3000 votes would've made it the first unanimous electoral college vote since George Washington.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. I want him to stay and be the butt of criticism for the next three years. Replacing him with another Democrat just gives the appointee a bully pulpit.
