There was a time, long ago, when cities each had a Republican paper and a Democrat paper. They didn’t pretend that they weren’t presenting a point of view. Now we just have Democrat papers claiming to present the One Truth. The old way may have been better.
“But Trump gets plenty wrong, too. He often talks about “the failing New York Times.”
But the Times isn’t failing. In fact, they gained readers since he was elected — 300,000 new subscriptions last quarter.”
Alex Jones said something like this. He said it would benefit him greatly if Hillary were to win. His income would quadruple - his company would go global.
Made me think at an early stage whats going to happen when Trump wins. The media that works against him will accelerate.
I moved to NJ from Canada in 1991. My father read the NY Slimes but he was a liberal. I stopped looking at the paper a month after I arrived when I realized that the morning paper had day old sports scores. It was only a few years later that I realized how evil the editorial section of the paper was and I swore they would not get a penny of my money ever agaain. Glad I have avoided the crappy paper since 1992.
Stossel is pro-abortion.
He gives the most jejune, robotic, pathetic of all possible reasons: He’s a Libertarian, and doesn’t think “government” should “dictate” what a woman does with “her own body.”
A dozen or so years ago I received a free subscription to the NYT. I did not renew when it ran out. I got tired of screaming at a “news”paper.
The only thing I like about the NY Times is the Sunday Crossword. Will Shortz is a brilliant editor.
