Ex-NATO commander: North Korea likely getting help with nukes, rockets from China or Russia
Retired Adm. James Stavridis, a former NATO supreme allied commander, in an interview on Sunday said North Korea is likely receiving outside help from allies like China, Russia or Iran as it races to develop its weapons arsenal.
“You’ve got to think that at least part of it is coming from either China or Russia and I have no evidence of that, but the idea that [North Korean leader Kim Jong Un] would simply be developing this on an indigenous basis within his own population of scientists simply seems unlikely given how fast it's moving," Stavridis told radio host John Catsimatidis on AM 970 in New York.
"It could also be cooperation between Iran and North Korea, which we do know has occurred in this nuclear space" Stavridis continued. He added that, "it's fair to say there is some level of outside engagement that has been helpful to [Kim's] program."
Stavridis said China will have to decide whether it is going to stand by or stand up against North Korea as tensions escalate.
"China is going to have to make a choice about whether or not it will continue to align with North Korea or if they will stand with the rest of the global community and stop this. And the best tool they have, John, is they have control over oil going to North Korea. They could stop that economy in a heartbeat. We're going to need to put more pressure on them," he said, adding that "there's about a 10 percent chance" of a war.

Trump is the first guy since H Ross Perot, on the side of American businesses.
And even Trump, I’m not completely convinced is right on this issue yet. He has said some good things, but thus far hasn’t done anything publicly yet, which says he is really standing up for our own companies.
Everyone else, in both parties, is completely sold out.

Putin has rehabilitated Stalin’s memory and image in Russia. Only fitting he carries out his legacy geopolitically.
And the current Chinese govt traces their lineage to none other than Mao Zedong himself.

Even though our European/Canadian/NATO allies have been weak and foolish...I do not like Trump’s emphasis on having “good relations” with China and Russia at the expense of hyper-strenghtening our historic bonds with our actual allies.
Hardly a secret. North Korea’s “Musudan” IRBM is a copy of the Russian SS-N-6 SLBM, deployed on Soviet ballistic missile subs from the late 60s to the early 80s. Moscow claimed the plans it sold to Pyongyang had been “de-nuclearized,” and amazingly, the U.S. went along with the deal. The Musudan has been one of the DPRK’s less successful designs, but it’s an example of outside technology finding its way into North Korean designs. Heck, most DPRK designs can trace their roots to the unguided FROG-7 and early SCUD models sold to Pyongyang 30-40 years ago.
NK has also had access to missile and nuclear technology from Pakistan, through the A.Q. Kahn network. And with Iran bankrolling much of the effort, Pyongyang has been able to greatly accelerate R&D efforts. Thanks again, Barack Hussein Obama.
I think our entire business class has been in complete ‘sell out the entire country to Chinese communists’ mode for the entire generation and a half.

Perot had the right idea, but goofed during his presentation. This allowed the entire global trading system to be sold out. By both parties.
Now Trump won.
But will he do anything about the mess?
I have not yet seen really evidence that he intends to. Though it is still early.
Mr. President I supported you since before you even announced your candidacy, right here on this website.
It is time to stand for American businesses once again.
No way is it a long shot.
The only scenario I can figure that ANYONE gains...is if Russia is the supplier and Iran the financier.
Obama settlement money could be funding this.
A wedge between the US and China is in Russia’s strategic interest. And tying the US up in an imminent conflict over WMD/Nukes/Missiles is in Iran’s strategic interest.
China and the rest of Asia lose big in all scenarios.
Either I’m nuts, or one has to wonder why a layman can figure it out and the country’s security organs can’t.
