Donald Trump is the absolute master of getting otherwise sober and somewhat reasonable people so emotionally spun up that they start spewing irrational gibberish.

Potential evidence of obstruction of justice charges against POTUS in his tweets? Implying his tweets are, in fact, obstruction.

As if a POTUS could be charged with Obstruction of Justice.

It's nearly the stupidest thing I have heard in my lifetime.

Whatever caused old Dianne Feinstein [friend of the arms smuggling California Democrat Yee] to get all pasty faced after that briefing earlier this year like she’d seen a ghost... it was not obstruction of justice via “tweetstorm.”

C’mon, Dianne, what was it?

She’s saying that like he “lost” tens of thousands of emails, several blackberry devices, and wiped his server with a cloth or something.

she knows damn well that the only road they have is impeachment. But Pelosi has reminded her that impeachment doesn’t play well for the dems.
So the tactic is throw as much mud as they can, try to gain majorities, then impeach.

Soooo, when President Obama said that there was “not a smidgeon of corruption” regarding the IRS scandal, was that obstruction of justice? What about when he said that Hillary did not pose a threat to national security with her emails?

I think our government had better tread carefully. There are lots of people who will think our government has taken over, and has disregarded the the shackles of our constitution. It seems the swamp is very nearly losing all pretense of being a legitimate governing body.

The only obstruction of justice involving Demonicrat Dianne Feinstein is whatever is keeping her from being tried, convicted and sentenced to be publicly hanged as a lying murdering traitor.

As another poster on another thread said, Trump was just following Rosenstein’s recommendation to fire Comey, a recommendation which is documented on DoJ letterhead, and Rosenstein was his direct supervisor. A recommendation that Rosenstein said he still supported when he testified to congress later.

That’s where all the morning TV shows were going with the arguments from the Left on obstruction of justice.

Remember a Federal Judge ruled that statements he made during the campaign amounted to later Official policy after the election by implication.

I don’t know why he chooses to jump into these murky waters with his tweets. Stay positive and on message, Mr. President

The POTUS can fire the FBI director because he doesn’t like the tie he wore or because it’s Tuesday or just because. This is a whole load of hog dung.

Feinstein said she believes...

Rock solid right there. Good enough for me. Shut down the investigation. We have a lock.

meh...

Wild exaggeration of what Feinstein said, which was in turn exaggerating to begin with.

A president commenting on ongoing potentially criminal investigations certainly could prejudice a case and make such a job harder, but ‘obstruction of justice’ has a specific legal meaning.

If Trump’s comments are ‘obstruction’, then so are the public comments of people like Feinstein and Comey accusing Trump.

first of all... the head of the justice department... “the president”, can’t obstruct justice, by definition.

Especially since he has been told multiple times, by multiple people, that HE is not under investigation.

As chief executive he has complete and TOTAL latitude to prosecute or not prosecute whoever he wishes.

Obama choose not to prosecute DACA illegal aliens... does that make him guilty of obstruction of justice? or did he like Trump simple exercise his rights a head of the executive branch to use his own prosecutorial discretion?
