Feel sorry for all of those people in airports today having to listen to Cnn while waiting for their flights.

Isn’t it ironic that you are not allowed to lie to the FBI, but the FBI is allowed to lie to you.

Ty Cobb, a White House attorney.

Glad he's on our team -- I bet this guy hates to lose.

Wasn’t there someone in Colorado leading a movement to petition airports to dump CNN and replace it with a tourist/lifestyle channel that would show news headlines and sports scores and weather but not the garbage that CNN (and other news channels) would show?

I would usually agree with you, but in this case the FBI wasn’t involved in some sort of law enforcement investigation of a criminal matter that ordinary American citizens might deal with. Flynn was an appointee to a senior White House position that required the highest level security clearances, and the FBI was questioning him as a matter of course for a background check of someone in that role.

Isn’t it disgusting that the Feds, have so stacked the deck against all of us.

If a real cop tried to bring a charge like this into a Superior Court somewhere, the judge would throw him out of the courtroom, saying there’s nothing compelling anyone to talk to or tell the truth to the police.

But, No, not so with the Feds. They need that extra leverage.

Any research on some of these terrorism cases that they brought, should give people a lot to think about, when we hold federal law enforcement in such high regard.

It's silly to complain about prosecutorial abuse in a case where the target of the investigation has pleaded guilty.

“...Isn’t it ironic that you are not allowed to lie to the FBI, but the FBI is allowed to lie to you....”

Yep. A while back, I used to have an FBI agent as a neighbor...he was kind of an arrogant POS and made it known who he worked for, but at least he kept his pants pulled up. Whenever he said something to me regardless how “innocent” it sounded. Like “Hi” or “Nice day, today, isn’t it?” I immediately pled the 5th and left the area asap. I wouldn’t trust him with a used BIC pen.

He can’t afford to defend himself forever and said as much so the question is plead guilty (and get some assurances), defend yourself and face a long time in prison or go broke with a forceful defense. It’s absolutely possible to abuse prosecutorial power and that is what we are witnessing

Why did Flynn lie at all about his meeting with the Russian ambassador? It was fairly mundane statements. Or is just politicians can’t help being politicians?

So what if Flynn was directed to talk to the Russians? If that were a crime then they would have gotten a guilty plea to that instead merely of lying to the FBI.

Well said. The taxpayers are paying for Mueller and will continue to pay until someone ends this farce. Flynn has to pay out of pocket and even if he wins, he’ll never recoup that money.

Kind of like someone going after the insurance company. You gotta pay your lawyer. The insurance lawyer gets paid no matter what.

How did they figure out Flynn lied?

Did this revelation have to do with questionably acquired surveillance warrants?

Trump vindicated again, Obama bugged his administration.

This is not really news, it's distraction from other events, such as a tax reform being passed. Leftist agitprop saved for this day. sheesh, people mellow out.

I never understood why ordinary Americans here on FreeRepublic would get all worked up over cases of “prosecutorial abuse” involving a swamp creature like Flynn who made a fortune peddling influence in Washington to foreign interests.

CNN pays a part of the cost of having TV in places like airports if they play CNN. It's all about the $$$.

Many years ago I asked my very conservative doctor why he had magazines like Time and Newsweek in his waiting room. He said that he didn't pay for them. They were sent free.

Advertizing dollars are paid based on how many people see a magazine, TV show, etc. Thus the free or very low cost subscriptions.

“Feel sorry for all of those people in airports today having to listen to Cnn while waiting for their flights.”

In my pre-retirement traveling days, I bought a clicker that would turn the TVs near me off, basically a remote OFF button. Gave it to a co-worker at retirement and I’ve been told the clickers don’t work anymore.

Principal. I'm no Martha Stewart fan but disagree with what they did to her, too.

Principle would be fine, but in a case like this there’s a good chance Flynn should be in jail for a whole lot of other sh!t anyway.
