How common were electric locks back then? We never had electric locks while I was growing up in the '70's
Depends on the car. However all had manual ways to unlock. And you have to hold the button on the power lock to keep it locked.
She could have got out of the car. Roll the window down. Go over the seat and out the back door. The lock story stinks.
They were not common. Even now a person could usually open the door with the button on his/her door. Where did they drag these people from?
My parents 74 Lincoln had electric locks.
