I’m trying to imagine the cost of hiring private investigators to dig up contacts like this 38 years ago. Did WaPo spend that kind of money?

How did the WashPoo know about her or the allegation?
What did the WashPoo know and when did they know it?
Before October? Surprise Surprise!
Shades of the 2006 “scandals” that the DNC and press coordinated attacks on to whip up hysteria about “a culture of corruption that rises to the top ranks of the party!” with regards to a toe tapper and a guy who sent sexually provocative texts to an aide (Democrat, if I recall). The Democrats and the press both knew about it before the top of the GOP learned of it. It came out in the post-election hearings. Phony outrage “knew about it and did NOTHING”. Yeah, so did the media and the DNC. They referenced saving it for late in the election.

Was she 14 or 17 years old when this happened?
Also did they just date or did he take or try to take advantage of her sexually?
These are the real questions which need answers? The rest is Crap.

More like WAPO reporters paid her to go public.
Bankrupt 3 times. Divorced 3 times. Drug addiction.
Yeah, the ideal candidate for a big payoff.

I posted the line from Sweet Home Alabama on another thread: “Southern man don’t need him around anyhow” as bit of a joke, but there’s actual truth to it. Like most of the rural Trump-voting states, people in Alabama really don’t need the Washington Post around. They don’t need east coast liberal muckrakers bribing semi-unstable women or stoking their imaginations about what did or didn’t happen when they were impressionable teenagers. The WaPo and corrupt media is pretty much the same thing Neil Young represented:
Well I heard Mister Young sing about her
Well I heard ole Neil put her down
Well, I hope Neil Young will remember
A southern man don’t need him around anyhow

Do girls ever lie about their age?

For forty years I have been closely scrutinized in the press and the public media.
I have had investigations by the attorney general,
Ive had investigations by the judicial inquiry commission on more than one occasion,
Ive had investigations by the court of the judiciary,
Ive been in five statewide campaigns in which they do opposition researchthey do investigations, as you can see in every one Ive ever run
and three county elections
and two major controversies over religious liberty
and the Ten Commandments
and same-sex marriage, he continued.
Ive been investigated more than any other person in this country.
That grown women would wait forty years to come right before an election to bring charges is absolutely unbelievable. BOOM.
Works for me.

The “current” age of consent in Alabama has no bearing on this case. What was the age of consent in 1979?
Has to be lower than 16 or they would not be using the “current” one.
