>>So, you are saying that Moore should stay in the race even if this turns out to be true?<<

I would say he should stay in the race. Why? Because if all the elected and appointed persons holding high office today in the Federal government, who are known to have engaged in behavior that is immoral and reprehensible, were forced out of office there would be a mass exodus. And the reason these reprehensible people have not been forced out of office is the SAME REASON that Judge Moore should stay in the race: they have not be convicted of perpetrating a crime.

“I would say he should stay in the race.”

I would agree with your reasoning.

All of this stuff is at least 38 years ago. People mature and change. If nothing has occurred in 38 years I would forgive him.

If Washington DC was full of people who haven’t done anything bad in 38 years we wouldn’t be having problems. Washington DC is full of active criminals and they are commented to committing future criminal acts.

Somebody mentioned Gary Hart. Gary Hart said he wasn’t cheating then turned around that night and cheated. He wasn’t cheating 38 years previously.
