The French are carrying a lot of water for us in dealing with muslim terror movements in sub-Saharan Africa. And by and large their forces are very professional and doing a good job.
suit up, arm/load up, safety/systems check, start up, all takes a little time. At least they were not in bengazi.

Oh, very funny - the French military forces have been good friends and very helpful over the years. Spent a lot of time off and on with French officers while I served with UN peacekeepers and I have worked with French artillery units on advanced techniques and technologies for fire support.
Great people to work with and they really know how to have a good time...and they are aggressive and brave fighters.
They would have clobbered those ISIS clowns if the forces on the ground knew how to communicate with them.
Top speed of the Mirage 2000 at low altitude is under 700mph.
If you took off for a 110 mile trip, you probably wouldn’t try to get up to high altitude.
Given dispatch time, a 30 minute response doesn’t sound too unreasonable.
You don’t get up to speed instantly. Plus you have to climb and descend and also scope out the area before you come in low. Everything takes time.
This is an extension of the Kenyan Usurper’s leftover African adventure and his African Command. It would be nice to hang ALL Obama’s leftovers at the Pentagon after Bergdhal. This story stinks on so many levels and it appears there was an inadequate AMERICAN support contingency i.e. killer Drones,QRF,USAF, Army Air, intelligence assets etc for the Special Forces. Maybe that A Team’s Op Order did not call for that. I am only second guessing and have no right to be critical except for American policy. I know those men died for their country with honor, but I don’t like when situations like this occur. Is it no surprise this scenario is quite similar to Benghazi where “What difference does it make” and “Stand Down” were the operative reactions in regards to the support those forces received from the French?
