Love this musical video.
This is a great song.
I remember it from a very young age.
Glen was a master guitar picker...a recognized genius.
This video is a good demonstration of his talent.
That’s a very good version of it.
Glen Campbell was just always around. He was the high voice “Hi. I’m Glen Campbell” guy on TV.
I never appreciated what a great musician he was and what talent he had. Just took it for granted.
And then I learned how he had a hand in so many of the pop music hits of the 60’s it’s incredible.
He may have been all that...but it’s funny how people overlook the coke and worse...
My favorite GC tune, played brilliantly.
Better poem than song and tha doesn’t reflect badly on the song.
Thank you for that.
In the ‘60s I had a record of duets by Glen Campbell and Bobbie Gentry, and this was one of the songs. I loved it — even though Bobbie Gentry was flat a lot of the time.
Helluva lineup of guitarists in the video. Cool to see Chet Atkins playing along at the end.
Killjoy!!
Glenn was a genius. Such folks are not without their demons.
But we cannot all be perfect like you.
Glen was a master guitar picker...a recognized genius.

He was unrestrained on the guitar and made it look so natural and easy.
Every time I hear one of his songs I stop and think, "that's my favorite GC song." Then I'll hear another and I say, "Nope, that's my favorite GC song."
I guess my favorite GC song is the last one I heard.
Musically great, but lyrically about narcissism and cheap sex and using someone.
Bill Clinton in lyrics.
That’s true. The meaning of the lyrics is consistent with ‘60s “free love” movement. The lyrics are clever, though - good writing.
Just found this. His pretty daughter singing a lovely tribute for him:
