If the warmists were smart, they’d declare victory and move on. They could take credit for saving the world from global warming by “raising people’s consciousness”, and then take on another “crisis”. For example, they could invent the threat of millions of white supremacists. Oh, wait, they already did.

rather i think it is a convenient excuse to decrease the power of wealthy nations’ governments in favor of multinational corporations. the power will flow in the direction of the accretion of wealth. 3rd world countries’ dictators and their regimes and also increasingly corrupt first world governments can then be understood as being controlled by rich multinational corporations. the rich multinational corporations will generally always seek to decrease democracy, wealth, and the power of the middle class.

Just because science has been wrong about the coming Ice Age, the Spotted Owl, Ozone Hole, Acid Rain, DDT, Peak Oil, Continental Drift and Y2K doesn’t mean they are wrong about Global Warming or maybe it does.

Or - here is my suggestion. Just flip, and start talking about a new Ice Age. For all we know, they might get it right, this time. I am sure it is getting colder. I live in the southern hemisphere, and it is colder every winter.
