This is spying on a political opponents using BS pretext as cover. Seems like its unraveling and coming to forefront. This is all happening as president Trump's approval numbers are improving.
President Trump is probably the most gifted raw political talent, with an ability to learn I have ever seen. The creativity he has shown as he has governed and led the nation through his successes as well as missteps is so encouraging to those with a brain.

The leftest sense betrayal by the liberals as Trump is triangulating them. Giving Schumer and Pelosi a chance to purge the radicals so they can move the party to a more moderate place to recapture working class voters.
It also could be that the DLC (Clinton) wing of the democrats are in the process of being purged as large interests (uniparty types) deploy different influence methods to adapt to the shift in the electorate preference of a democrat partry more focused on whatever it is they focus on when they were less crazy then today.
As the Russian boomerang spins back toward the democrats - Old time pre Clinton democrats seem to be moving toward the president. Maybe Schumer et al want to trade something for political cover when the whole Watergate*10 blows up in Obamas face. Vindicating the president and giving him the political momentum to start passing some of the Agenda
I wish Trump has used this opportunity to address the NK representative very personally in front of all UN members and say:

In fact, in a very creative way, Trump could promise to DEFEND NK from attackers if the NORKS stop missiles and threats and Nuke production – and instead be friendly and do trade and improve their country. Trump is known for making some off-the-wall strategic moves the surprise people. It’s all about “The Art of The Deal.”
Of course there are no countries that want to attack NK anyway.
Finally, in a new streak of creative diplomacy, Trump should invite Kim to the White House for dinner with Trump and Dennis Rodman and some translators. I’m not joking here. It would be a brilliant coup for Trump to show that we are not interested in NK and in a war with NK.
If Trump could solve this problem peacefully (e.g. get Norks to disarm), he would be suddenly cherished by all Japanese and SK people. Americans would also be appreciative.
