Donald Trump: Let DACA Recipients Stay; Not Amnesty

President Donald Trump argued that allowing DACA recipients to stay in the United States would not be amnesty. “We’re looking at allowing people to stay here,” Trump said to reporters in Florida on Thursday.

He insisted that his deal with Democrats on DACA recipients would not be amnesty.

“We’re not looking at citizenship, we’re not looking at amnesty,” Trump said.

On Air Force One however, a White House spokesperson confirmed that “legal citizenship over a period of time” for DACA recipients would likely be part of a deal. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi insisted that the plan would offer them a “path to citizenship.”

The rescission said no new DACAs being admitted.
They intercepted something like 35,000 at the border last month.
They put the gop-e on public notice that they realize they are the enemy.
Trump insisted again that he's building the wall.
He had N Korea put under additional sanctions
S. Korea appears willing to accept tactical nukes
They have best ever dealt with 2 devastating hurricanes

I can't imagine what else people want from the guy who's operating with his own party fighting against him

I’m a heck of a lot older than you, and that tells me to stop listening to anyone who has anything negative to say about our President.

That's not a bad policy - I ignore the media as well, but let me ask you this: Do you pay attention to what Trump actually says though?

Because he jumped on twitter yesterday to try and generate sympathy for the Dreamer/DACA crowd by calling them "good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military" and said that they are "in our country for many years through no fault of their own"

If you did not know Trump said those very words, you would have thought that was Pelosi or Schumer trying to make the case for the DACA crowd to stick around. But no, that was President Donald J. Trump.

He also got us out of the Paris Climate agreement. And he has severely cut regulations.

When people complain about President Trump, I just sit there and imagine what Hillary would have done instead

You can look back over my posts during the campaign and you will find that I many times said that the keys to me were the Supreme Court nominee and the wall. Anything I got more than that was just gravy in my mind. But Gorsuch was the key. We wouldn’t be talking about any of this if the Supreme Court was now 5 to 4 in favor of the Liberals.

He said he was going to build the wall. We have given him 8 months to fulfill that. That seems extremely unrealistic to me given that the establishment owns the Senate and the house. You throw out a good way to change that before the 2018 election, and I’ll send it to him personally.

“”A country without borders is not a country”.....How many times did he say that on the trail?....If this is true and not a media lie, which it could be, then the hell with him....”

I definitely hear what you are saying. I had hoped Trump’s election might actually right a sinking ship, but he is not going directly to the people who elected him and asking us to put pressure on the RINOs and the left to implement what he promised. Instead, we have seen him align with those who hate him most while publicly attacking those who were not afraid to support him (e.g., some freedom caucus members).

For me, it is easier to stomach some of what we are hearing come out of Trump’s own mouth by watching the Hitlery’s victim tour. But I sure understand if that doesn’t work for you.

Immigration is not going to stop, so those already here and properly vetted go to front of line. Net immigration is the same number. Where exactly are 800,000 Republican voting immigrants going to come from? Poland and India i guess.

“He also got us out of the Paris Climate agreement.”

We are still part of the Paris Climate agreement. The earliest the US can formally request to withdraw from the accord is in 2019 making the earliest possible effective withdrawal date for the United States 4 November 2020.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_Agreement#Withdrawal_from_Agreement

Ivanka and Jared thus have lots of time to try and change President Trump’s mind on withdrawing.

What exactly are the credentials of these two outside of being family for the positions they hold in this administration?...I think they both are far too liberal to help pass the conservative agenda put before the American people along the campaign trail....

Trump has hired and fired a lot of people in the nine months or so of his administration, but there are some people who frequently have his ear and whom he will never fire. Take a wild guess at who they are.

New York liberals have setup shop in the White House, and we just have to accept that - hell, we knew it when we voted for him, that his son-in-law and daughter and sons would be along for the ride.

Every one of you clowns were warned. You wouldn’t listen. People don’t spend the first 70 years of their lives as liberals then suddenly become conservative. What a bunch of gullible pathetic morons.

We were running against the most vile unelectable candidate in US history and you guys nominated this clown. It should be engraved on all of your tombstones. From Jimrob on down. Im sure I’ll be banned which is good because I’m ashamed I was ever associated with this site.
