KEYWORDS: anticatholicbigotry; desecration; liberalfascism; saint; statue; vandalized
Several Catholic statues and historic missions have recently been vandalized in California. In addition, a statue of St. Joan of Arc was recently vandalized in New Orleans. A statue of Francis Scott Key and an historic monument to Christopher Columbus were recently vandalized in Baltimore.

Memorials to 9/11 victims have been attacked as insensitive.

What will they want to vandalize and tear down next?

There should be security cameras at all of the California missions. This has happened several times before and the perpetrators never get caught.

I don't know what the problem is, most everyone in Santa Barbara lives in $1,000,000 ++ homes. That's basically the starting price for anything there.☺ Just fix the damn statue.

A quick historical look at slavery on the west coast!

Queen Isabella I’s main Accomplishment: (Queen of Spain)
Isabella was the sponsor for Christopher Columbus and his voyages of discovery into the New World. As was done at the time, all new lands that he discovered were claimed for Castile/Spain. (Not italy, France or England!)

After Columbus discovered the new world, the King and Queen of Spain did this:

Concerned that Spain ensure control of the natives in the newly conquered Americas, the “Reyes Católicos”, Ferdinand and Isabella, consulted theologians and jurists for religious and legal justification of Spain’s conquests. The treatment of the Native Americans was at first rationalized on the grounds that they were cannibals; any means of subjugation were acceptable..

In 1500, the king and queen again sought advice; the Native Americans were declared to be “free vassals”. Despite their elevated status, the Native Americans remained subject to conquest in “just wars”.

The Spanish imperialists regarded all native peoples as heathen savages and sought to convert them to Roman Catholicism by any means necessary. The 1513 El Requerimiento drafted for King Ferdinand declares that the Pope rules all people. So convert or else, the Spanish, with the help of God, will use force against you, “declaring war” by all possible means, and “enslave your persons, wives, and sons,” as the King sees fit.

Spanish Requirement of 1513 From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
The Spanish Requirement of 1513 (Requerimiento) was a declaration by the Spanish monarchy, written by the Council of Castile jurist Juan López de Palacios Rubios, of Castile’s divinely ordained right to take possession of the territories of the New World and to subjugate, exploit and, when necessary, to fight the native inhabitants.

The Requerimiento (Spanish for “requirement” as in “demand”) was read in Castilian[citation needed] to Native Americans to inform them of Spain’s rights to conquest. Those who subsequently resisted conquest were considered to harbor evil intentions. The Spaniards thus considered those who resisted as defying God’s plan, and so used Catholic theology to justify their conquest.

1. We should remove all Spanish signs and names throughout America/Texas/New Mexico/California if we are really concerned about the evil history of slavery!

2. We should immediately make it a crime to speak/use Spanish in America. Spanish is the language of the evil racist and slave owning Spanish conquistadores and rulers who started the evil slavery in the new world and America.

3. Then, all of the Spanish names in America have to go.
There should be no more San Diego, San Clemente, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Jose, San Carlos, San Francisco, San Mateo. San Antonio, San Anselmo, St Augustine, and Sacramento in America. These evil Spanish named cities must be renamed without the evil Spanish Racist Slave Owner Spanish words!

4. All elected officials in America with Hispanic surnames, should resign immediately and apologize for their evil racist and slave owner Spainish ancestors.

5. All Hispanic mediots on ABCNNBCBS and Faux should resign and move to Spain or Mexico to be with their beloved Slave owner cousins.

Although some arguments can be made that the native Indians were mistreated by some priests in the mission system, the people who caused the vandalism should know that Father Serra was not one of those priests. he was, by all accounts, a great and humble man who devoted his life to bringing Christianity and civilization to that part of California.

But to many of the Far Left, it doesn’t matter. He gets lumped in with everyone and everything involving the mission system.

I have not heard one a-hole politician speak out against this vandalism and that goes for those with the R. I know of no police who protect the monuments if they have a chance nor take it seriously as an investigation. We are now a society of wimps who deserve what we get. If this continues,we will ask in twenty years,”How did this happen?”,as monuments to our founders are pulverized and their names blacklisted. Welcome to the new Amerika. Hell,if they can get away with that, why not labor and concentration camps for Conservatives?

I agree, I posted something similar to this recently regarding the Conquistadors here in California and how they Murdered and Enslaved the population in their Bloody Murderous Rage.

I watch the original Manchurian Candidate every now and then.

These days it’s as if there are ten of thousands or more Raymond Shaws out there who’ve been told to play a little game of Solitaire.

A statue here, a memorial there... it doesn’t take anything at all to trigger the vandalism and violence.

Obama, Queen of Diamonds. Maybe they tried to use Hillary’s mug first but it was too frightening. :-/

Spaniards needed labor to build the missions. The opening offer to the locals was this: “Do you want to live?” Negotiations started from there.

Thanks we need to get the evil history of the evil Conquistadors here in California and how they Murdered and Enslaved the population in their Bloody Murderous Rage.

From Mexico to their Northern Fort, Sonoma, they left a trail of tears from those they killed or enslaved.

devoted his life to bringing Christianity and civilization to that part of California.

And, therein lies the problem. It is not just the founding and very existence of the United States that these idiots want to erase; Christianity must go as well. They are Socialist/Communist true believers and they now have a lot of "useful idiots" to help them to their goal. We are under attack from within, all paid for by George Soros' money.

This is no surprise! Tearing down Columbus statues is about eliminating the Christianity that he brought. Tearing down a saint’s statue is the same thing!
It’s all about their hatred for Christianity! Marxism cannot coexist with Christianity.
